That is very true,you could! As long as B never gets into the profession is shouldn't get any worse though

There are loads of mediocre musicians who've made millions from it! Its much easier to play an instrument without talent than to sing without talent though.

I also admire people who can dance really well. They have such grace and poise yet it is an art that requires a huge amount of strength and stamina.

I wish i could sing better. I'll happily get up and do karaoke but i'd never audition for x-factor or anything :eek:

I admire my husbands ability to be so uncool and not give a damn. Not so uncool though that he'd be considered geeky.

Proper musicians wouldn't, either.

Sell their soul to some old dude at a crossroads at midnight, maybe, but not to Simon Cowell. That would be going way too far.

Classical singing is different to contemporary stuff. It's hard to do both without sounding like a comedy act. But anyone can improve if they practice, even to be able to sing whilst playing a musical instrument, too. Just keep practicing.

Having a go even if you have a fleeting suspicion you're making a complete tit of yourself, and don't really care - that's what matters.

I've been playing the guitar badly for 30 years.:D

I've only ever played in public once, when a friend got married they had a live band for the reception. Somehow, after a few beers, a few of us who play, and I use the word loosely, decided we'd surprise them by getting up and playing.

So, one drummer with lousy timing, a bass player, a keyboard player and me and another friend on guitar spent weeks practicing two songs in secret.

After the abject terror had worn off we quite enjoyed it!

As a result I admire anyone who plays live music. :T
