Don't throw money at bitcoin you can't afford to lose a good chunk of in the short term, might be better advice. If you understand it's strengths and long term potential of course that changes the calculation significantly.

I wasn't giving investment advice, i was just letting future investors know that Bitbargain is a complete pain to set up a selling account. Look at Localbitcoin instead.

There's a lot of discussion about this "restriction" over on bitcointalk and there are varying opinions over whether the story is true or has been mis-translated...

If BTC became widely accepted by the masses, what do you think it could realistically be worth, considering there will only ever be 21 million BTCs? 11 million are already currently owned/mined.

I know the Winklevoss Bros are heavily invested, but they seem to think it could go upto $40k a BTC (£25k) :rotfl:

They can make their mouths say whatever they want. I couldn't be less interested in what those two are saying about anything, much less an imaginary final value, if they genuinely believed in a btc future they'd be mining imho.

What really matters short term is what the money printing cleptocrats and MSM are doing to choke the concept and how that can be countered or circumvented.

The idea will grow, some say the only bad publicity is no publicity but it still needs time for adoption to expand and stabilise, speculation is a double edged sword, it isn't doing the concept any favours but it is getting it noticed which may or may not prove desirable in the long run. Fascinating to see it all happening though.

Quite...most likely as a result of this news (whether correct or not).
