I was just going by what I read here:

I must admit, I for one would not be able to commit to the time involved in posting.0 -
I'm finding it fine.
Thanks for all the work that must have gone into sorting these out.Be Lucky Everyone0 -

The old way worked fine for me. But I'm now bypassing MSE altogether and going straight to the comp pages of the mags.I don't think there was a problem from the point of the people entering them. My understanding is that tinktinktinkerbell who posted loads of them found that it was a huge posting effort, decided to take a break from comping and there was not a big rush of people volunteering to take over the large amount of work involved in posting.
I agree with both of these statements. OYL, to be honest that's the way i have always done it, i use any old link for each of the mags and then once i am logged in to the site i just keep going to the Prize Competitions link and work my way through. I always thank/thanked the poster for the effort and sometimes used their answers if i wasn't sure but on the whole, i just go straight to the mags and do it that way, so bypassing MSE i guess too. Personally i find it quicker and easier that way but each to their own and all.
Marg, that's how i understand it too, there used to be a lot less dailies but now they are spreading the prizes around it seems to be pretty non-stop, i think tinks mentioned it took a couple of hours the other day to post them up, that's an awful lot of time out of their day when they could be entering comps. This was/is just a trail as cornishpasty said, and it was spawned from an idea i put forward. If the vast majority aren't happy then there would need to be another idea put forward or maybe lots of people who would happily volunteer their time to take the load off. I did volunteer, before anyone says, but only 1 person can run the thread so cornishpasty has that delightful job at the moment bless her :AStayHome * StaySafe * BeKind0 -

if peeps don't mind me saying, the problem & i think tinkerbell/ & any of the others who were posting them including myself,
hopefully will agree, the old way, we posted on the main board first, then had to add it to dailies, so double posting which takes up quite a bit of time, then, the same comp is/was appearing in some of the other mags so again it was double posting,
another one is sometimes late at night or early in the morning another member would post a new one on main board but don't/didn't add to dailies, cp/myself & others would then copy the posting to add to dailies,
then glad had to update the main pages on the dailies whenever she could so it's like -
one posts on main, then again on dailies, glad has to check the threads & repost in dailies updates,
this new way whenever a new comp appears the finder/member can just add it to the thread on the end therefore it's only one posting for the op instead of having to manage to double post with them, then all cp has to do is paste/copy the new one onto the relevant listings,
just my humbles xplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -

Just as an aside - is there a reason why the magazine thread can't be a sticky on the main board?
If it's a question of there being no room - perhaps the Postal comps thread could be moved over to the Regulars board? I've previously wondered whether people miss that thread because it's up there with the 'rules'.
Although, having said that - I suppose the mags thread should be in regulars also ...
(I edit my posts and end up having a discussion with myself ... sorry lol)0 -

I think this would be a good idea too instead of having to go through the daily board to find it :TStayHome * StaySafe * BeKind0 -
I really like the idea of the mag comps being separate. I don't do them all that often and they did tend to swamp the dailies board.0

didn't know this thread was here, but having been 'told off' for bumping the actual mag thread I came to find this post.
I personally have all the mags in my favourites & work through them when I have time - not everyday, but hey, even one entry gives you a chance!
I used to search the mag title on the forum and have a list of all the current comps pop up - doesn't work anymore.
So I will just bookmark (hate subscribing to threads I prefer to look when I want to) the new thread and check any answers I can't remember against that - SimpleJo x2007:£5181.09 2008: £6619.70 2009: £4284.49 2010: £5213.14 2011: £4980.62 2012: £3188.52
