And as I didn't realise this 'new' system has taken place of the old one I have missed entering some from the start. I obviously don't have a choice in how I comp for Daily ones any more.
Sorry for the rant, but that's the point of this thread.
I prefer it and I can get through the main board quicker now without it being cluttered with LOADS of these mag comps (most of which I personally don't bother with due to huge multiple entries).
I have just bookmarked the Woman's Weekly and Marie Claire post list as that's all I look at and it's great the rest I can ignore now, being all in one place.
Before I had to mark each one off with a cross after they were posted and also as some posters didn't put that they were mag dailies in the title I had to hover over them to find out if they were and then mark them with a cross.
Never mind it must be quicker for those who are kind enough to spend time posting them!0 -
Due to technical issues mumto2boys is going to update the mag dailies for the near future, and we have tested out this afternoon different ways of doing it so there is not to much disruption to yourselves
mumto2boys will now be updating the new links into her posts and I have linked her posts to the opening post so you can just click into the mag daily and it will take you straight there. We have kept this within the original thread as thought it would be easier than starting a new thread and upsetting everyone's subscriptions/bookmarks/favourites :j
Huge thanks to mumto2boys for taking this on :kisses3: Please try to post in the preferred format if you can, but failing that please post E:**/** Prize Details and Answer with comp link posted below and she can then just copy and paste details and insert the comp link #StaySafeWishing you a Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year0 -
Do you think it would be easier for everyone if we all thanked the posters at the end of the thread when they post up, and then we (me and mumto2boys) wouldn't have to put that THANKS HERE bit on the front post, which may be easier on the eye for us all and save a lot of time?
Thanks for being patient with all these changes, and hopefully things will settle in soon :j#StaySafeWishing you a Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year0 -
I think it would be a good idea as to be honest I don't use the THANKS HERE clicky, I actually wait until the end then scroll through what people have added
Which has just reminded me i need to go do that now lolThis Post Has Been Sponsored ByChocolate0 -
i must say i did like it in the dailies sticky thread with everything else that was a daily, but they are becoming a rather mammoth listing, now they are often sharing the same comp/prize across nearly half a dozen sites
will this eventually be moved to the 'regular competitions' forum ? or is it okay here ?
tbh i've no idea as there seems to be no consistancy with these 'regular updated' threads
dailies - regular board
magazine comps - main board
once only - regular board
postals - main board
puzzler - main board
take a break - main board
weeklies - regular board

oh and can any OP or forum member with the ability to edit any of the 'main' listing posts for each mag plssssss.. ensure that if they themselves find a new one that they add the detail to a separate posting at the end of the
"Magazine Dailies (ongoing and updated regularly)"
thread, prior to then going and amending the relevant main post for that particular mag because trying to look at posts 128-139 each day for a modification and then figure out where in the top/middle/bottom a new one has been added amongst the other [poss] 20+ each time is going to be a nightmare

fnc, it's not been discussed so far as to where the thread will end up, and that is even if the thread remains in its current format. The poll is ongoing til the end of the month as a trial and then hopefully people will have settled in to the new format, teething problems will have been ironed out and also any improvements or changes can have been thought of and/or implemented.
As for your second post, up til now it has only been myself and cornishpasty who has been able to update the main lists and as far as I can tell we both have added new comps to end in the same way that jambo/fire**fly etc have all been doing? Do you have a particular comp you are referring to that I can check out please?
The new comps are being added in but kept in date order for ease of keeping an eye on expiring comps, perhaps when cornishpasty is back properly it could be discussed as to colour coding new ones or another suggestion you may have?
Hope that covers all of your pointsStayHome * StaySafe * BeKind0 -
View Poll Results: Do you prefer this way of doing magazine dailies? (still on trial) Yes

:hello:
Well the poll shows that the majority of daily mag compers prefer the new format, and hopefully a few more have now been converted (as you could only vote once, and may have voted early on):j
Personally I think the only thing left to make it easier for everyone would be if the thread could become a sticky, but I think this has been asked and declined, so as long as you've got the first page of the thread bookmarked you should be able to go to any/all when you want to :j
Thanks to Alison18 for finding a new mag (Best) luckily I'd saved a space spare in case needed, but will have to start a new thread if and when any new mags come up now :rotfl:
Huge thanks to mumto2boys :staradmin for looking after the thread for us recently, hopefully you didn't even notice the transition between us
Huge thanks as well to all posters of mag links (especially jambodaveprince:kisses:) :starmod:
and finally :grouphug::wave:#StaySafeWishing you a Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year0 -
Sorry if I have asked this in the wrong place, but I cannot find the topic for the weekly for take a break etc. Not the one that has about 15 entries but the one that has one or two. ThanksComping from May 2012
Thank you to all that post & contribute, I think you are wonderful, I could not achieve without your help0
