I'm very sad to hear about the 2 little ones not making it

If it's any comfort then if the mother left them she more than likely knew they were not likely to make it and having Cat make it this far is fantastic. I've learnt the hard way that mothers tend to abandon kittens that have something wrong or are too premature. Not that this has EVER stopped me handrearing them and paying small fortunes in vets bills for waifs and strays
Last one was a 6 day old kitten who's mother abandoned at where I work - the farmer next door tried for 2 days to get her to take it back and was handfeeding it but she was having none of it. So home with me it came... Thankfully I know the local RSPCA centre very well (got my dog from there too) and they happened to have had a cat in with kittens the same age and so we tried to see if she would accept this strange kitten and thankfully she did! But just in case I always have kitten milk powder and syringes at home (it helps when one of your good mates is a vet
) so I'm always prepared for the odd kitten that pops up :rotfl:
They are hard work, and they break your heart when they don't make it but worth it! Sadly I can't keep any as my 2 moggies and my dog would probably traumatise any new comer (which is why I use our 2nd bedroom for the emergency foster kittens - away from everyone)
Good luck with Cat
He looks very cute

Was in a simular situation my daughter was asked to look after a new Mum Puss and the two surviving Kittens..one had already died.(Owner never returned) Out of the two one was called Little Man whom seemed really poorly so my daughter took him to the Vets and although he had good treatment he did not make it. The other we took at 6 weeks and although we soon realised she had a real bad does of tapeworm it did not stop her going from strength to strength, a real fighter from the start. She soon became the biggest character Puss we have ever known. Look at my avaitor when she is on her bestest behaviour!!!!!!!!!!She does not fool me...little adorable rascel that she is but Mr Old is completely and I mean completely smitten(ok obessed) with our Girlze maybe because at such a young age of leaving her Mum she chose Mr Old as her Mum and Dad to boot.(ok I am a tad jealous now I take 3rd place but I can take it).I really do feel for you but the pleasure from Cat will see you through for sure. ahhhh webby - congrats on the babies hun - although sad about m & m!
so are we going to become adoptive mummy to Cat now?? you might find that he will miss you terribly if you give him away because he knows you now as his mummy - ie you've kept him safe, fed, warm, cared for him etc etc
seems a shame for you to give him away when you seem to be so attached to himTime to find me again0
