    Good afternoon

TTFTM sorry you hear your news.

I hope Julie gets her tooth sorted out, toothache really brings you down.

We've had some snow this morning, but nothing like the view in sistercas's photos. There's some snow falling at present, but it's only settled on the grass and cars. There seems to be more in the forecast, will just have to wait and see what happens.

We haven't been out this morning and have no real need to leave the house, so we are staying put indoors.

I've defrosted some soup from the freezer which we'll have for lunch.

I have some eBay auctions ending this weekend. At least 9 things will go, plus there's watchers on other items, so I'm hopeful.

I'm not listing anything this weekend, as I want to avoid auctions ending over Easter, and the rush in the post office on the Tuesday.

Apart from that, it'll be looking at the internet, reading and jigsawing. All very winterish activities for late March!

    Have a good day

Having got my lovely new bathrobe I was wondering what to do with the tatty old one.I might just cut it up into squares for cleaning and dusting with It really does hold a lot of static and I would hate to just bin it.

That sounds like an excellent idea!! You normally pay through the nose for those dust-attracting cloths and you'll have a whole bunch for free. ;)

Sistercas those photos are amazing!! Looks like at least four inches of snow! It does look very beautiful though (I can only say that because I don't have it here!) :o

Shopping done, log-burner is lit and I'm about to boil a gammon shank that I bought to make soup. Have a lovely day all! :)

TTFTM lovcely pic you posted yesterday. I love ferrets; I think they're so full of character.

Nasty white stuff on the ground; good thing I did the back lawn on Thursday.

Mary's here, and has settled in straight away.:T

    Afternoon all,

Ive just come back from shopping. The snow is about 6" deep here but the gritters have been out keeping the roads clear. Luckily the shop i go to for our groceries is only a mile away and just off the main road so it was easy enough to get too but that wind... it went straight through me. Back home now, despite being told to cut back on the groceries, i still managed to spend £80.

Had pictures sent me from my youngest daughter who is 21 weeks pregnant. Her bump is, as predicted, getting bigger every week and she loves being pregnant. They are having the furniture delivered today and her fiance is busy decorating the nursery. I have always loved being a Mother but watching my daughter build her own 'nest' is one of the most satisfying feelings ive ever felt. I'm not there to share the joy of my other daughter who is in the process of adopting a little South African baby as they are so far away and my other daughter, didnt have the chance to be a Mother. I never had that feeling with my sons children as he wasnt on the best of terms with his partners and i hardly ever saw them. I love my dogs so much but its not the same as having little ones around the place. I miss having little ones around me.

Hubby has started work on the Mother In Laws memorial plaque. She looks better with a bit of a clean and he has started on her lettering.

The girls know today is shopping day, they love shopping days and they get excited when the bags come in as they know there will be a treat in there for them. They are happily munching away on a bone as i type.

The things i listed on E*ay end tonight. I have two sales out of 3, i have plenty of watchers on the 3rd so i'm hopefull it will sell.

Oh well, i'd best get on. Hubby is having pork for tea, i'm having lamb. Youngest will be eating pizza, lots of it!

Time to face the music so sorry to hear of the loss of your furry friend. i loved the picture.

Have a good day all, keep warm and keep safe.

  • Julie you can only take 1200mg of ibuprofen in 24 hrs, so you should have that 8 hourly and the paracetamol 6hourly. I hope it feels better soon.

I've had a great day. Very lazy morning and then we met friends for a pub lunch, but didn't leave until half past 5. DS2 played in the soft play area with their son so he was happy. They are in the same class so have great fun. The best thing though was the DH has arranged a man date with my friends husband. DH moved 80 miles to live with me 9 years ago, because he works away he hasn't made friends with people down here so I'm happy that they're doing something in a few weeks. Wasn't the cheapest afternoon but we don't do things like this often.

The snow isn't too bad here. Settling but melting fairly quickly, most of the roads are clear. We walked to the pub and it was so cold. I'm nicely tucked up in my crochet blanket this evening. It's so handy having a useful hobby, I make loads of blankets!
