computer won't turn monitor on

in Techie Stuff
i posted the other day that i had a faulty monitor, but when the monitor is unpluged from the back of the tower part the monitor comes say not pluged in.so the monitor is working, just won't work when its plugged in the back of the tower. do you think the connected where the monitor is plugged to is faulty. please help

you may have lost the Motherboard graphics reading up on it
a standalone AGP graphics card will sort it (up to 8x)

Your O/S may also be set to display a resolution too high for your monitor to support - if so, and if you want the higher resolution a new monitor is what you need!
Can you get to the BIOS screens at all, or interupt bootup by pressing F8? If so boot into VGA mode and change your screen resolution.0 -
