(By the way they're owned by BT but at least have their own UK customer service centre)

Which initially attracted me to Plusnet. However, their 'UK based Customer Care Centre' is only open from Mon - Fri 'til 5pm which is about as useful, to anyone who works, as a chocolate fireguard! The only other way to contact them is ... yep ... via snailmail.

    I've given up and left.

So this on their website is incorrect?
    UK-based customer service 24/7

We're open 24/7, 365 days a year. It's free to call from landlines and mobiles with inclusive minutes.

Just checked - it appears to be 5.30pm - apologies Plusnet! Also it appears I couldn't telephone them because I wanted to discuss cancelation - still not customer services 24/7.

Customer services are 24/7 but cancellations 9am to 5.30pm mon-fri... they don't want to make leaving too easy now do they ? :p

Well if Openreach don't come today as planned, then I will be using those customer services to cancel!

Well I've put forward a complaint as yet another no show!

The call centre staff are very good, sadly Openreach are again shocking!

To be fair, OR are probably blitzed with weather-related repairs at present. But they should be able to keep the ISP's better informed.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

    Exactly.

I've worked as a sales rep been stuck in appointments for sometimes all day, and they don't mind if you ask them to make a quick call to inform your next appointment that you will be late.
  • Why did you leave O2 just because they were bought by Sky? If you were paying similar to what you would with others, it makes no sense to move to another ISP just so you don't pay more money to Sky.
  • I've got my MAC code which expires on the 8th but Plusnet at the earliest can install on the 9th - do I need a new MAC code before I can really order as I don't want a !!!! up happening.
