I understand but wondered how could they produce bills even I couldnt do that since I only moved in today? Will I face this problem with all suppliers because of my credit history?

Since you have to tell them where you lived previously, bills for that address are accepted.

Why does it have to be VM? Given your financial circumstances, wouldn't a budget deal with say Plusnet (£5.99pm) be a better option?
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

it doesnt havent to be, i noticed when i viewed the property it was hooked up already to VM. I dont own or watch TV so wont be paying any licence, I do however watch free movies (and i dont mean illegally free here mind) from the many alternative news channels/websites on my laptop. I'm not sure a budget package will cut it to be honest. I work for a living too and see the internet as a way of both furthering my knowledge and relaxing, hence the importance of it to me. Obviously if VM say no then I will look my other options, I just hope I have some apart from a PAYG dongle.

You can still watch videos on ADSL Broadband. It doesn't have to be cable supplied by Virginmedia.

Check http://www.samknows.com/broadband/exchange_search to see what is available.

You may even be able to get BT Infinity, or an equal product supplied by Sky, Talk Talk or Plusnet.

Like macman says, it doesn't have to be Virginmedia.
