Hey hey. Played around with Vista and have access to a legal Vista Business edition through the MSDN AA sites... However I just don't know if I want to! Would like some advice!
Specs of pc: 2.6ghz P4 800fsb Northwood
1gb Dual 3200
6800 Ultra 256mb DDR2 AGP 8x gfx
So the specs are ok to run it... Also using the new Office (which i love)...
Are the bugs still a big downer on it or are a lot of them getting ironed out? When will Sp1 be released as well?
Thanks

Been using Vista since it came out. I havent Personally come across any bugs as of yet but i think people are confusing bugs with driver issues.
I use my pc everyday and it runs very smoothly and is very stable.
Only thing to check is that all your existing hardware and software that you use is compatible and has vista drivers. Otherwise works just fine.0 -
Same experience for me, I've been running it since release with absolutely no problems - a much better experience for me than XP.
We run it at work too, on 350,000 computers.0 -
No official date for SP1 but MS have said it will be on the same time scale as previous first service packs so it's likely to be around October to December of this year."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

By the way I dont see the point in upgrading to Vista unless its a new pc your getting even though I do prefer Vista over XP
Unless you cant wait to use it0 -
I like to install new things ya see :P
As for driver issues, the only reason i uninstalled was because 3d games were rubbish on the current nvidia drivers but tbh, i've stopped gaming now due to other priorities (a girlfriend)
All my hardware is compatible (i've previously installed it anyway).. Just things like security and the other bugs Im thinking about.
Meh looks like i'll upgrade when I'm bored one day then. Thx all[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

I have been using all the Vista from the first beta on a pc and I have come acroos a few bugs, and now I have a Dell PC with Vista Home Preimun on it and I fine it great.
Of course new OS will have bugs in it.0 -
I got a new laptop with Vista Home Basic installed. I was expecting it to be buggy as hell, but it appears to be OK. I had to upgrade to 1Gb though.
I wouldn't bother upgrading from XP though, it doesn't appear to offer much more than XP; just looks pretty.
