It just worries me that this site is there and doesn't get taken down. How many people must have already been conned?
Its a drop in the ocean unfortunately. There are tens of thousands of sites like it. Some will just steal your money, others will send you fake goods. Many thousands of people are conned, day after day. Not much you can do about it other than to be aware of the risks and educate the people you know.

So if the bad, or even good, English is irrelevant why did the OP bring it to our attention then?......and that's my point. They could of said about the address not adding up and other elements of "The Possible Scam" that did not seem correct. They gave a good section to the English being broken/bad.

    Are you for real?

If you have a ".co.uk" website (ie pretending to be from the uk), and it contains poor English, then this is a big clue that this is really a foreign website selling fake goods.

Real uk websites should always have good English. Even if the owner is not a native speaker, he will ensure that his website is professional looking.

Once someone has spotted the big clue, then they can then look carefully for other signs that the website is dodgy.

    Remember fake goods=fraud=criminals.

Well I was going to bed, but then I saw the above ;)

Just because someone sets up a website in/from China, using a .co.uk website with broken English does not make them bad, criminal or otherwise. People in this country use a Virtual Office for their business address....are they all scammers?.....just because they cannot afford a "proper office".

How do you know everyone can afford interpreters, know how to use a spell checker with html coding, don't have dyslexia website designers (who may of not admitted to being dyslexic because they needed the job and money) and so on. People are assuming the worst sometimes when there is rational explanation.....even if it seems far fetched (like a dyslectic website designer) :p

Of course in this case it looks more positive that the website/company is a scam, but as I said before I was referring to the use of "Oh its broken English therefore we must all assume it's a scam" scenario. NOT ALL BAD ENGLISH WEBSITES ARE SCAM WEBSITES, so don't use it as an argument/judgement.

I off to bed now.....got to get up early as I am watching Border Control on Freeview, but not until I've had my stuff load of Jeremy Kyle first :rotfl:
