LL - really positive news for your husband. You and he make a fighting team, so go knock 'em for six. With the consultant in your corner of the ring, here's to good things.

Japanese Knotweed - I'd say you've definitely done the right thing in stepping away. Real shame though as things were sounding good. Am sure something else will turn up.

Just to let you know, the Jergens cream - there are different 'flavours' - I got the Cocoa Butter, Conditions and Enriches.

WW - a deserved day off for you. Don't know where you get your energy from.

Only bit of fabbing I did was to the garden. It looks nice, I feel shattered. Nuff said. Off to rest some more.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, one and all.
I got there - I'm debt free and intend to stay that way. If I haven't got the cash, it doesn't get bought. It's as simple as that.

I did a little bit wardrobe fabbing today and threw out some old footwear and brought out new trainers I had in the cupboard. Hopefully in another month ill be able to throughout some more over worn items. Once holiday is paid off I might buy a couple of new t-shirts in bright colours for summer...

    Morning everyone!

Had a lovely day yesterday catching with various weekend jobs and lots of walking which was my exercise for the day. Also fabbed myself up with a face mask and exfoliate.

Today will go out for another long dog walk in a bit, then later, will be a hair pre treat mask then some more photos for ebay ready for next time, then its study time and maybe half an hour of exercise at some point - hope so!

    Morning all!
I've woken up feeling much better after what ended up yesterday being a day of sloth! Managed to do the shopping and cleaning and dog walking but very little else. I actually sat down and watched a movie and a few things off the Sky box - can't remember the last time I did that. Think its done me good.

So I'm raring to go today again and have a few things to get done - a couple of hours of schoolwork (just lesson planning so not too taxing), dog walking, I'm determined to do some exercise and I need to do a bit of a garden tidy (hate gardening).

I'm looking forward to the marathon too - one day......(although I've said that for 10 years now:rotfl:). At least I can run a bit now - this time last year I couldn't run for a bus!

I've ordered 2 tops from La Redoute - will see what they're like when they come - both are in the sale. Still need some "bottoms" though but I need to go shopping for those because I'm a funny shape on the bottom half and need to try things on.

Right, I'm off to walk the dog before the marathon starts.

These days a trip round Sainsbobs feels like a marathon.

I am so disgustingly unfit. I really must get a grip.

More bad news. OH has a chest infection again. I wasn't going to see him today because he likes to watch the marathon and the motor racing. However, I will just pop over and make sure he is ok.

I might do a bit of a garden tidy later although it will be basic. I asked the landlord to clean it up and then I would just keep on top of it. (there's rubbish behind the shed for a start). Needless to say he hasn't bothered. I will cut the lawn and keep the weeds down but that's it.

WW - I know you hate gardening but I'm sure you do at least keep it tidy. I agree with Maman - get some perennials in.

Annuals - grow for 1 year and die .
Perennials - die back in the winter and spring into life again each year.

Get some nice flowering shrubs - google for ideas. Wilkinsons, Morrisons, Aldi are good places for cheap shrubs. Plant them then put some bark around them to cover the soil in between.

This will act as a mulch to help stop soil drying out and will keep down weeds. A little bit of work to start with but easy to maintain afterwards.

Scatter a few bulbs around in the autumn for a nice spring display and there you go, job done. Once bulbs have flowered you just leave the bulbs in the ground to regenerate and multiply.

Then all you have to do is prune the shrubs occasionally to stop them getting out of hand - once a year is usually enough.

    Easy gardening.

If you hate mowing lawns, you could remove it and put gravel down - Japanese style. You can plant things in the gravel to break up large expanses.

Right time to get cracking and start the day - need a good soak -feel really stiff this morning.

Rainy old day here, so I've scrubbed and polished myself all up from head to foot.

I did a bit more wardrobe shuffling, it's now mostly arranged by colour and things that go together rather than how I used to have it by types of tops, short sleeve, long sleeve an so forth. Hopefully it will make choosing outfits a bit less of a chore in the mornings.

I have also put aside a few potential outfits that I would like to wear this week and done a stocktake on leggings - (way too many). It was a bit like Christmas, as I found some nicer ones that I had hardly worn last year and then forgotten about over summer.

I 'found' a good pair of trousers (still with labels on) at the bottom of the ironing basket. Heaven knows how long they have been there.

Thanks LL! Its all a bit clearer now! If the weather holds later this afternoon I'll at least get out there for a tidy round.

All the schoolwork done while watching the marathon - how do they do it? Amazing! I'd be the back marker "fun" runner (there's no such thing)! Plodding along next to the man carrying the fridge!

Off to the gym this afternoon for a sweaty hour - will pretend I've just done the marathon after shuffling 5km :rotfl:

    Morning ladies :)

My cousin ran the London Marathon yesterday. Well she did til 13 miles then her hamstring went which affected her knee, calf and ankle. She also had two blisters pop and despite all this she still finished. Made me feel rather lacking, I've been giving up a lot lately (not in the fabbing am still doing that its ingrained in me now) but I've given up with other things. I know I've gone on about this before and I sorry about that but I am finding it really hard to shed this cloak of lethargy :o I am giving up too easy, not fighting back and doing things regardless. So if my cousin can battle on then so can I. I feel a week long list of jobs, having a written reminder makes me more likely to stick to it.
So house fabbing (aka more decluttering, mainly garage and loft) and some tarting up of the back garden is in order.

I went out with the girls on Saturday night. Sunday ended up being carb overload :o:o I didn't think I'd had that much to drink but maybe I was wrong in that assessment :o anyway fast day today (am determined to stick to it today) and shall do it again on Thursday I think.

LL I hope new drug really helps OH, I don't think you were wrong to have accepted his decline. It's a balance of whether the impact of treatment was detrimental to your OH overall well being. No one doubts for one moment what you'd give your back teeth to have OH around for as long as possible but you were just weighing up what's in his best interests x

Pod good luck with your time between now and June, sorry work didnt accommodate your request BUT sometimes we need that shove to make a decision x

WW sorry to hear about your uncle xxx

Sorry if I've missed anything important.
Hugs and high fives all round xx

    Morning all,

LL - here's hoping the new treatments may be able to do something for your OH. As WW says it's encouraging that the consultant is fighting for him and pushing to get him on it. Sorry it was bad news on the house though, am sure something else will turn up for your boys.

Bitsy - I've been just the same, struggling to get motivated. Don't be so hard on yourself though, can't be easy with everything up in the air for you at the moment - guessing there's no bites on the house yet?

Anyways, an ok weekend though didn't get quite as much as I wanted done. My grandma's not well again so bit worried about her and not great for the motivation :( Has been back in hospital again since Tuesday - though I only found out last night when I spoke to my mum. It annoys me that they don't bother letting me know, because 'I'd only worry' - er, yes, but surely I have a right to? My dad was up there when I rang waiting to speak to the doctors so will try them back tonight and see what they said. Tbh though she's just in a general decline so it's only a matter of time at the moment :(
Did manage to get some writing down, which is something, and OH has transferred me some money so am going to have a look back into the matched betting this week. That's him nearly out already though so need to get money-making quick!
