Coolnewmobiles - non receipt of claim

My first claim was sent off on Thursday and verified by Royal Mail as having been delivered on Friday (special delivery guaranteed by 1pm next day service - £4.30).
How long does it "normally" take for CNM to acknowledge??
And do they "usually" acknowledge, or does it also have to be chased up??

I don't know about anyone else but in the last 20 years of posting cheques for bills in my business and personal dealings I've never had one go missing. Yes, stuff does get lost in the Royal Mail but the figures are largely exaggerated by people who either haven't sent the stuff or lie about not receiving it.0

OK I take my comments back - just received my 4th cheque in the post this morning. :j It took a long time but at least I have it.
Sent off my final claim last week so hopefully I'll receive that in the 2-3 months.

I have been trying to gather information from people who have sent their claims to CNM only for them to say that they have not received it. Unfortunately I only got one reply - my list comprises of 2 people. Not enough to make a formal complaint. There have been several posts on this forum and no doubt on other forums from people who have had this problem. Why not come forward and lets get something done about it? PM me with your details - why let them get away with it.
YES, we should have sent the claim by recorded post and I make sure I do it now.
IF YOUV'E MADE A CLAIM AND CNM HAVE SAID HAVEN'T REC'D IT - SEND ME YOUR DETAILS SO THAT TOGETHER WE CAN HOPEFULLY GET SOMETHING DONE ABOUT IT!!
I too got done because I didnt send recorded delivery. this is the reason I registered with this site, to expose the scam 'coolnewmobiles' are getting away with.I hope enough people come forward to get them banned or make them bankrupt0 -
I too got done for not recording my post, they very conveniently didnt recieve my documents. This is the reason I registeredwith this site so I could let other people know what a scam it is, lets hope enough people come forward to either get them Banned or made Bankrupt.0

Actually...
I would say it were you who was stupid for NOT sending recorded delivery as it clearly states in their t&c.... Hope it was worth a saving to you of 70p!0 -

Just to reiterate - I started off using recorded, but now always use special with consequential loss (for all cashbacks)
You should factor the cost of this into the deal then make a judgement/. ie over a 12 month / 4 claim period it would be best part of £25.
To *not* use a service such as special delivery+consequential loss is *mad* imo. What goes around - comes around
give lots and you will always recieve lots0 -
This was also useful when I had a c/b claim refused by the link, claiming they'd received it 2 weeks outside the drop date. (it was actually received ~2 days before... I was running tight!) I called them, emailed/faxed a copy of the special delivery info and things were sorted quickly.
So (good for royal mail) remind all your friends
cashback == special delivery+consequential loss.
DO NOT try to save this cost. What goes around - comes around
give lots and you will always recieve lots0 -

Don't hold your breath, I didn't get a great response. Either there is very few that have actually gone missing or they are too embarrassed to mention it.:o I learnt my lesson the hard way and now send my claims recorded delivery. It is a shame CNM have to resort to this as I have been using them for a few years now and up to a few months ago they have been great and all my claims sent by normal mail have been accepted no problem. As someone mentioned before - I think they have a new better shredder0
