What do you make of this?

Wall paper hung back to front in the past.

Very MSE with the wallpaper, haging unwanted patterns back to front and painting over!

    Just what I thought....

Generali I tied the test and got this
The test failed to match you to a Kinsey Type profile. Either you answered some questions wrong, or you are a very unusual person.

This evening we went to London for supper in Chinatown then on to see the Cripple of Inishmaan. We all really liked it. It was not as dark as my OH was expecting and quite humourous. DD had read mixed reviews but we thought Daniel Radcliffe was good.

    Next month..Private Lives.
I got the same ....not a bad thing being an 'unusual person' :)

Hey fc, I saw something the other day that I thought you might be interested in. Apparently in some parts of the country, people run pop-up shops from their houses. If they don't do it many days per year it is feasible. I didn't know whether this is something you would consider for Margate. It could be quite edgy. It has to be run past the local authorities, but some are happy to allow it.

    Excited, me?

I'm really looking forward to coming back to England. 2 years is too long. I'm coming over strangely, and unusually, patriotic.

I really enjoy living in Aus but somehow I just couldn't imagine spending the rest of my days here.

London is putting the bunting out for you, it mentions 60 years but that is because we do not like to make a show..but it is for you..it is especially nice around St James'... and we have organised a tennis tournament on grass.

In fine English tradition on many of the days you may be sprinkled with soft rain.

Could you pop up shop from other people's houses I wonder?

Makes me thing of the sales that happen in village halls on one evening or a weekend.

We once ordered my diabetic FiL a diabetic meal when we got the Eurostar. The nice lady who checked us onto the train told him we'd ordered such and he said rather grumpily, "I just ignore my diabetes".

Her response? "That's what my Grandad used to say. Then they cut his legs off".

FiL has had a series of heart attacks which he has mostly ignored. I think the last one he had was a wake-up for both him and MiL. My fear/belief is that it's too little, too late. It's a shame because he's still very sharp mentally: he completed an MA aged 69 a couple of years back. Physically he's FUBAR'd though I think.

My dad has been diabetic for over 30 years. There have been times when I've really felt for the poor sod - he really struggled with injecting himself in the early days.
To be fair to him, he has tried. He's not perfect, I'm sure he misses some sweet treats. He likes the occasional drink too - never to excess to be fair to him. But he has tried.

A few years ago, he felt ill. After a day or so I got concerned by his responses. Ended up rushing him into intensive care, & he was in a coma for a week or 2.

Apparently, he'd had a mild heart attack. Thing is, the diabetes had affected his nerve endings around his heart, so he didn't feel it.

After 24 hours in intensive care, the consultant came with a nurse to speak with us. I expected the worst, as a nurse usually only comes with the consultant if it is bad news.

The consultant sat there & basically said he didn't understand how my dad was still alive. He said certain levels (like his blood acids) were higher than he'd ever seen in a living human being. He didn't get it at all. Essentially, something was keeping him alive, but it was more luck than anything.

In discussion with me/mom/brother he concluded that the fact my dad was an enthusiastic golfer had kept him fit & in good shape & helped him recover.

My mom had spent years referring to herself as a golf widow. When he came out of hospital, she paid for him to have the pick of any golf clubs going, & an electric trolley. (If you knew my mum & how [STRIKE]mse[/STRIKE] tight she is, you'd be amazed at that alone!)

NP general stats update...divided on mushrooms, more likely to be Jewish or married (or shacked up with) some one Jewish, live in herts or greater herts or herts north of the border, and ( drum roll) are unusual and undefinable in their kinks and sexual preference?

Oh good lord I'd be scared to answer some of the questions used to categorise us for those criteria...

Aren't we all unusual/undefineable? Who knows what could happen in the heat of passion?

I strongly recommend we NP never meet up.Just in case we all are "unusual" as defined by Kinsey.

It could be too 'wild' for us ever to call ourselves NP ever again.

Initially I was going to suggest we have an orgy instead of a meet, but that looks out of the question now...;)

Planted out some carrots sowed into tubs this weekend. They really could have done with being put out sooner, but time didn't allow me to.

I wanted to do a few other things - repot some toms & also repot the chillis, but time & the weather didn't allow. I'll have to try and get that done one evening this week - at least the weather is looking good for that!

I got exclusively heterosexual in the test.

Part of me wonders if I'd answer the questions differently in a real life situation, than sat logically(?!) entering answers to a test?
