Well....you know how I feel about you generali, I think you are just wonderful, but it would feel a bit odd.....incestuous.

If on the other hand you think of a solution to my stretchy but slippery waisted trousers feel free to let me know.

The old 'You're like a brother to me' line :D Kind of! Sorry Gen.

...and if they don't have loops, can you do something like this

admittedly more cosmetic than functional, but might be enough?

I'm not a lady either Michaels, most of the time, but I'd use a belt. Only, these breeks just aren't made for 'un. The top part of them is soft and stretchy and foldable and has no belt loops.

well the only other option I am aware of then is braces....
    I think....

My mum taught me to take nine identical lengths of sewing thread. You would then plait three together. When you had three plaits, you would plait those three together. If that's not enough, make more and plait those in too. Then you had a fine piece of thread that was durable enough to be a belt loop and would just sew into place. It wouldn't necessarily work with big heavy leather belt but it works fine with fabric self-tie belts and is my own method of choice for when the belt loop breaks on woollen cardies. Plus of course they are relatively discreet, so if this doesn't work as a solution you just cut them off again.

Should I give up or is there a way to keep such clothing up? They feel so good.......but I don't want to keep pulling them up.

Get out a needle, and add 4 inches of elastic to the inside of the top of the waist at either side. That would work.

I suspect if I were tracked, from birth to now, my total lifetime's consumption of cucumbers would be about ... 12.

    :)

    That's one helluva cucumber overload.

Braces. Roll up the trousers, fit braces, wear a knotted hankie on your head .... all ready for the summer!

    I've been Money Tipped!
My hair has gone all Cheryl cole but blonde. It's huge and in those big tonged curls as opposed to my own sort. It's good fun.

I on the other hand have gone all limp and flat and depleted. I'm not sure I can even brush my teeth and get my make up off.
