Also, went to see Bill Bailey last night.
    He's an extremely talented fella!
Funny man too - though I have found previous tours funnier.
    Still a good night though.

Repotted my 12 cucumbers today. They're coming along really well!
    Bought some more compost.
Repotted the 2nd tomato batch from trays into pots.
Have been eating home grown lettuce all week.
Also noticed this morning that the free chilli seeds I got were starting to sprout.

Think I'll give up on the ginger now...
Toms not anywhere near flowering yet.
Supposed to be decorating bedroom this weekend as Spanish girl is arriving in 10 days, instead been trying to control the garden, grass is knee height following flymo breakign 3 weeks ago, we do have another cylinder cutter but DW doesn't like using it and it doesn't cut very well as it is extremely blunt but I have been trying to get it through the 'jungle' - have also bought another flymo on ebay which I am about to go and collect. Also trimmed some bushes that are at the edge and have got completely out of hand and cut of the lowest branches on the holly tree which is a prickly task....green wheelie bin is now full beyond overflowing so that is a good reason not to tackle the brambles yet.

Thinking of buying one of these but the ideal spot is about 3 feet from the house and having 17,000 litres of water that near is concerning me.
    I think....

    Clothes £750
    Hot dogs/Hambrgers £750

Have had a lovely day here.

It was Wimbledon Warm up - so tennis was played on 4 courts at hoses around the village and then we all meet up withe the winners from each court as they play in a semi and final with Pimms at one of the houses.

Everyone is deputed to bring a specific dish for a cold lunch and whatever they want to drink. Mr S plays and I bring the cheeseboard.

We put gazebos up as it spotted with rain all morning, but had the final and lunch in sunshine. Lunch - A whole salmon, coronation chicken, ham and anti pasti, smoked salmon mousse, salads, new potatoes, fritatta, bread... cheese, grapes, walnuts, dates and strawberries and cream.
Lots of chat with other villagers and met some new ones with new babies/small children..it is like a slice of heaven and I feel very lucky.

Then when I got home DD had made and decorated a birthday cake for me - it is in the week but we will be busy - so DD and OH sang to me. I felt very loved.

Been in many with other people? Our bath fits both of us but we don't much trust the floor joists, We've even squeezed in a hip bath type thing the two of us, I wouldn't choose the experience when fitting bathroom though.

Would save loads on hot water bills though! You'd only need a bucket full or two. :)

Er, there's about no chance of me ever getting into a bath with other people - ever since the DVT I had years ago getting into or out of a bath is not exactly a graceful action for me. Crushing your bathmate by accident would make an embarrassing episode on A&E 24 hours.

Have you considered a hot tub? I've always wanted one of them.

Had an exhausting but fun day - Isaac's 8th birthday party, jointly-held with a mate, and he had a whale of a time. The theme was "medieval", and my mother did a Battle of Hasting cake, with the battle on top, and extracts from the Bayeux Tapestry made out of icing on the sides. It was pretty impressive.

There was lots of noise, running about, and vast quantities of sugar consumed, and everyone went home happy.
