New, because I want it to fit the space. But I might get a reclaimed sink if I can. Or also a reclaimed mantel for the extractor.
It's very, very simple design. One wall, the back one, totally cupboards with the extractor and cooker in the middle.( so the extractor mantel thing will be opposite the working fire for symmetry) All painted the same colour as the room so as to disappear.
Then a double sided island. Super simple.
It is a living room you cook in, rather than a kitchen you also eat in and sit in. Even unfinished I've loved it. I'll snap it for you guys later when the painter has finished.0 -
ATM salvaged wood panelling wood be a huge boon though....I'm having to wrench someout. Flexible about style, but sort of linen fold. Could be quite damaged, because sicko that I am I prefer that. I 'll measure space. Reclaim yards want Blood money.0

I never got an appointment referral letter from mine but my nearest hospitals were all in the same teaching trust so I'm presuming they would have the same consultants. I wouldn't want to go 20miles+ for a hospital appointment.
Has anyone actually done it rather than just turn up at the time the NHS deigns your presence?
Our old area we had it and we could pick the hospitals ( most over 20 miles away!) or the private thingy run a nhs. It was good. I did it, for scan, my parents did it and dh did it ( also scan when I found a testicular lump which turned out to be nothing serious)0 -

Slightly bizarrely, I have Teacher's Health. $240 for a family of 4. Money well spent as it covers contact lenses and dentistry as well as normal medical.
I can even have a massage on it without a referral! That's nice if I've been having a bad week, knowing I can get a $20 massage.0 -

private healthcare doesn't cover what i want to do so it wouldn't have mattered for me0 -
A friend is coming to tea today. I've not baked anything be a use couldn't on Friday and kitchen (knee etc) and feel its not fair to bake delicious smelling cakes under the nose of the decorator. So its bought stuff. It looks really forlorn.0

Repotted my 12 cucumbers today. They're coming along really well!
Bought some more compost.
Repotted the 2nd tomato batch from trays into pots.
Have been eating home grown lettuce all week.
Also noticed this morning that the free chilli seeds I got were starting to sprout.
Think I'll give up on the ginger now...
Toms not anywhere near flowering yet. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0
