Looking at those earrings, it says 4cm drop .... does that mean the pearl's 2cm? Sounds big ..... are they for the horse to make it less ugly?
For taking the ugly horse to the resslewrong?0 -
The jousting thing is interesting. We holidayed near Arrezo several years running and saw the palio event they had there - very brave.0

Maybe you could develop a twee range of horse neckwear ..... could be onto a winner there!0

Qualification equivalence is a massive area needing a huge bit of attention. A giant database for converting scool leaving certificates and degree values is just crying out for its place in the sun.
The Points Based System for immigration uses something like that, you have to get an equivalence certificate from them for entrance to the UK as a Tier 4 (student visa) applicant.lostinrates wrote: »I agree...sort of. There is nothing wrong at all with a francophone saying 'fett'. There is something pretentious about someone who speaks no French saying 'resterwrong'.
One of my sisters has a similar saying to take the mick out of that, she says things have a certain, "quelle heure et il"....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Those are overpriced, even at the sale price, honest.
Those types of coin pearls, which are lovely, cost about £8 for a pair (wholesale). And gold-plated fittings aren't at all expensive....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

They do, they say they are freshwater pearls.
In the context of coin pearls, that means they are Chinese and nucleated....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
As it is only 4 it is a baby so be nice or it will get a complex.
What breed is it or colouring and why does he want something that needs physically fixing?
She will be loved, adored, by him. I think I'll get quite fond too;). I think he likes broken women. He doesn't really want something that needs fixing but we've been looking for a while now and I keep finding excuses not to get them. This one I think, unless it turns out its so broken it fails the two stage, which I doubt it will, needs love and some care. I cannot say no to that. So its my fault for not going for one of the adequate ones. (I think really I am not ready for another one, I still cry about special girl and I have to admit it rankles a little that this one is the same colour as her
). This is a VERY well papered horse.....bred for papers I guess, not conformation. She should at the very least maintain her value. I could sell her at the end of summer with some love, food and physio and little else, for double the money and get it. That sort of 'back up plan bargain' is something else that appeals to me.
In truth, she has the right stuff between her ears. That's the key bit, and that I like on her VErY much. We had a good half hour playing and she showed the right attitude.0 -
My younger sister's horse had a foal the summer before last. He had to be put down last month, and Lil's still crying buckets over him....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

It's brave, and its, IMO, cruel, I hate the Palio. It's shown on tv over there, like the grand national.
A (horse) dentist I know jousts and has given us advice on where dh would need to be and where the horse would need to be to make it something that could be considered. I'd guess its about five years away!0 -

Special girl had a foal who died when she was having a foal. I just never got over it. It took me over eight years to even speak of it.
I am so sorry for your sister.0
