BLASPHEMY!
It's there in the bible:
1. THOU SHALT HATH NO GOD BUT ME...
(Edit, for boring commandments no one remembers, particularly the fifth)
11. THOU SHALT NOT MAKETH FALSE FLAPJACKS
It certainly should be.
I either have to come up with a better recipe or work so etching else out.0 -
Probably about the same time I started noticing how often I'm seeing the spelling "center".
I approve of American spellings by and large. I suppose gen has to get used to them in Oz.
But I'll feel I'll be ready for the grave if people in Britain start talking about "A to Zee". One of the reasons I'd prefer Canada to Oz.:D
I never heard anyone except Americans say zee in Melbourne. Oh, and various students from the Philippines. So if that's the only thing holding you back, go for it!0 -

Maybe it'll seem new enough to activate a gmail account. Failing that I can generate you an email account like lostinrates@mail.com and you can use that to open your gmail account. You can pop in and change the password straight away. I did it for another NP a while back.Hello everyone, long time no speak! I have been busy preparing myself for my course that starts in a few months, and I am now a single mum (my decision) so things have been a bit difficult but I am feeling very hopeful for the future. I hope everyone is OK and enjoying this lovely sunshine. Will go back a few pages and have a read....

Re the dresses. Didn't like either of them. Like others, as the picture was loading I thought it resembled a murder crime scene. I felt it wouldn't look good from a distance, nor photograph well either. And it seems a bit long.
The other one's too formal/tight looking for a wedding (uncomfortable).
It'll be summer, so warm, you need something floaty and comfy for sitting still for long periods in potentially hot weather.0 -
I ended up in yahoo for personal email years ago and am trapped because I can't work out how to get my thousands of messages from over a decade onto a new system without paying yahoo money.
It's just about as secure as a sieve.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

Could be worthwhile hiring a freelancer to create you an app that does it with a recursive algorithm..... and selling that solution to recoup your costs.0 -

Quite.
I have nothing against people using big words correctly and don't mean to imply I'm in any kind of position to sit as judge and jury on how people speak (I certainly am not!). I often hear really good speakers using just the right word and wish that I were so eloquent. I do find it quite distracting, if nothing else, listening to people use words simply to make something sound more complex/impressive or themselves more intelligent/well read - utilise vs use is a perfect example.0 -

I don't personally love the dress, but am not opposed to a slimmer silhouette on a summer dress. More practical than many light and floaties on a gusty summer day! ( I know this because I usually wear floaty and end up with my skirt over my head and my knickers on display in the wind.0 -

One of the odd features of my memory post brain break is often the shorter words or the right ones just don't surface and I have to talk around the word, either descriptively or ipAmerican fashion. Both my parents comment on this repeatedly....they curse my early years education. I 'ise' things far to often because the correct concise word just isn't there. It's quite funny though, to be so very pompous, really. I also get word order wrong, which dh and my parents pick up on often too. Dh thinks I often get word order as if I were 'from the French, translating'0
