I've never been
I think it's dreadful how many things we fail to do in our own country. A particular malaise of Brits I think.0 -

If I can't see/feel the sun, I am still in hibernation mode.
Our 'extension or extreme restoration' of the missing bit will be triple aspect. ATM we have no south facing rooms, its shockingly noticeable.
Oh, the kitchen has a south facing window now, makes a huge difference. Our main reception rooms all face east. Delicious in the summer...but....we don't have them any more really!
Right now I am in my sitting room sheltering from the sun. I have become vampiric, and because I am trying to limit sun exposure ATM I am fully dressed, Dh is just in shorts and loving it,0 -

Yep, it's an awful lot.0 -
Right, I am going to try an hour of this walking lark .... popping across the road and down to the beach
0.5 miles according to google. When I get there I'll look and think "OK, nice enough, seen it now ... now what ....?" and come home.
Back in a bit - probably moaning that it was windy/cold out there.0 -
Well... that was that then. Walked there... it's a stoney beach, unexciting waves. Walked along the shore for a few hundred yards into the wind and thought "... for a game of soldiers", spotted some hidden steps and decided to go up those, which brought me into a "nature reserve" = trees. Walked back. Nothing exciting to see.... then, as I was approaching home I was struck down by a bit of dehydration/sunstroke as I'd not taken a drink with me and had no sunhat on (don't have one) .... so staggered inside .... sweating from the kagoul, lightheaded from being in direct sunlight ... and my feet are burning a bit
Been out. Done that.0 -

I've always wanted to do a bus tour. Or a riverboat one.
And next time in Edinburgh find out if there's an equivalent of the London bus thing. And really must see the pandas.
Two random things - got a new homepage for my browser I think. I'm fond of portal pages, like allmyfaves, etc.
http://www.kadaza.co.uk/
there' an Oz version for gen.
It might be better than thebigproject.co.uk but I'll keep that as my mobile homepage
Second idle thought arising from NPs discussing food poisoning and food safety. I've read that botox stops working after a while as the body makes antibiodies to the toxin. Does this mean that botox users are being accidentaly vaccinated against botulism food poisoning?:) Are any NPs already botoxed? There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
We were talking about this the other day, with me wanting Botox.
The answer is no I haven't but will probably go to see the dr who does my mother's face after summer to take advice.
Things brings forward the date of my first expected facelift a bit.0 -

Throw the Smoked ham hock (in date) and all other ingredients into the slow cooker, fill with water and go to bed.
In the morning, you got soup:)
