Some people go abroad for their dental work. Hungary ,Israel I've heard mentioned. Cheaper as there's an oversupply of qualified people in thosee areas.

Not sure I'd risk somewhere else though if I wasn't aware of the system. I hear there are countries like Norway where local anaesthetics raren't rountinely used. No way!

Israel wouldn't be a bad place - very good, clean, well-staffed hospitals, and lots of people speak English. And an awful lot of other languages, too - you can get by in Israel speaking French, German, Yiddish, Russian, Polish, etc, as well as Hebrew or English.
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

Isn't South Africa meant to be amazing for dental work?

I think I'd rather hike to Israel and see if my old dentist fancied doing some extra work on the side! I remember him commenting that his brother used to commute to Essen, Germany for four days a week as the pay was better over there, and I thought our costs were impressive enough.

That all sounds rather funky singlesue! I'd spot you in a crowd:)

Moan for the day. Windows8 - possibly great on a tablet, really developing a loathing for it on a desktop.:(

    Haz on Houndsditch is great

My wife and her friends wanted to know where to eat in that area so I suggested Haz as a mate of mine raves about it, but the Tripadvisor reviews put them off.

A South African doctor friend of ours immigrated here about 20 years ago, and he had loads of dental work done there before he came over. Very MSE, although I am not convinced that I would let myself in for dental work before strictly necessary.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I've been productive this morning...have re decorated my crutch. It's gone from being white organza and burgundy ribbon, to dark purple organza with a thin strip of black organza in a candy stripe design.

Cost me £3 including the glue and looks pretty blooming good.

For some reason I first misread that as crotch and started to think about how one would go about dyeing a pattern but then my brain kicked in and realised that obviously wasn't what you would have written and so I reread it more carefully....:o
    I think....

Just in case it doesn't go without saying I do not think further investigation of this subject of the mushrooms or do you live in herts variety are appropriate on the Np thread:D
