I wonder if I can persuade OH to start demolishing the fitted wardrobes in DD2's bedroom? Mmmmm!!!!!!

Probably not as he has assumed his 'resting' position on settee.

Ah well think positive. Lots of rubbish gone.:)

I actually struggled to fling today.. I filled my new chest of drawers, stuffed jumpers in the drawer under the bed and stuffed Pixies clothes in the small chest of drawers.. I filled a bag of rubbish and a chazzer bag.. nothing like the 4 I hoped to achieve.. tomorrow we are having Dots party for her burpday which is Tuesday.. so I won't get much done then.. not sure what else to fling if I am honest without starting on the boxes on top of the wardrobes on the landing which I don't want to touch until my room is beautiful.

I have new ebeast pics taken and 5 things listed today so 30 in total up and 2 with bids..

My wheelie bins are both full until Tuesday so I am filling up the streets bins again. OH's mum coming Tuesday so I'll get nothing done then and Monday I have the CS stuff being collected, school runs and some intense binbag stuffing.

That's so true, and I need to remember it. Sometimes it feels like not enough has been done, but it is always a little bit better than it was before. I must especially remember this during arguments over how many plates we need to keep. Some went to the CS, not as many as I'd have liked, but there are less than before, so that's good! :T
  • My name is Gingernutty and I've got [STRIKE]ticklish feet[/STRIKE] a hoarding problem.

I fell for a gadget, a grass effect bathmat and some non slip bath splats that look like rubber ducks.

However, my feet are so ticklish I can't bring myself to use them.

I've tried, Lord knows I've tried, but my feet are too ticklish and now I'm stuck with brand new, only used once, plastic bits.

It feels wrong to get rid of them so soon, but I'll never use them again.

    Thank you for listening.....:o
 Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway...

Get rid Gingernutty. It is the most sensible thing to do.

I feel your pain with the plates.

I have the same issue with mugs. There are only 4 of us in the house now, and me and DS don't drink brews - maybe the odd hot vimto. Anyway, in my cupboard I must have 30 mugs. When I try to [STRIKE]chuck them out[/STRIKE] dispose of them carefully, my DD3 starts the ...'Oh but I like that one', 'that is one that I got for Christmas' etc. I mean how many mugs do you need? 1 each and 1 each for in the wash? 8 for the household. NOT 30 mismatched mugs. They aren't even pretty!

So perhaps I should sneak them out. She will never notice;)

My husband seems to break things 'accidentally ' when he doesn't want them any more.

Hello fellow horders. I have watched you for a long time in admration and today have something positive to report :j

I have sorted out part of my attic.... there is a pile of paper to shred, a pile in the recycling and rubbish in the bin,

2 bags have been emptied of random rubbish, hoovered and washed and can go back into circulation. I decided not to eat the yoghurt bar BBE 2011, it was yellow..... and not a good yellow....

And I hoovered up hundreds of bodies of flies from around the velux windows, then washed down the seals. *insert being ill smilie here* _pale_

I really, really need a hot bath and hair wash now.

I'll do the other side next week. :o

:T Bravo, Dumpy, that sounds like a good job jobbed, hope you award yourself a lovely long bubble bath as a reward.

I have been allotmenteering and have wombled a piece of wood to turn into a fence post up there. And it was a fencepost ten minutes after being wombled, I got straight on to it. Amazing how you can discipline yourself (sometimes :o) not to procrastinate and just get on with it.

I purchased a new-to-me everyday handbag and ditched the existing one, which had some strange vinyl disease which was making it look very scabrous. I like to live modestly but that was taking the don't-mug-me-I'm-penniless look a touch too far. Replacement was 50p and worth every penny.

Am attending to domestic engineering/ laundry/ etc and also pottering around on the interwebuluator/ reading a book.

Have decided to see if a tub of after-sun balm bought on holiday last year can do another duty as a hand-cream and be used up that way. It was one of those unexpectedly-needed purchases and was a bit overpriced but all I could get, so I'd like to use it not just bin it, IYSWIM.

Righty, washer has finished, so I better get that racked. After I have taken the last items of the last washload done on Friday off the airer, of course. :rotfl:

Just butting in, but I tried to solve this with my mum by removing all MY mugs, the ones I got bought etc. I got rid of some but other went into the shed in a box, for when I move out at some point....

unfortunately she saw this as a way to buy some more but I tried!

Could you not pack up DD's for her? or "yours" and give them to the CS?

    Nevertheless she persisted.
