Ripped off via Gumtree (2)

Guys I really need your help, and once you have read what has happened, there will be comments such as 'it's Gumtree, what did you expect would happen', 'You rushed and made silly mistakes', 'you are dumb'....trust me I know all this and seriously am kicking myself and mainly for having faith in people. Its heartbreaking. But please any advice on what I can do as am now lost and all this cos I was trying to suprise my partner!! Oh to make things worst, it happened twice on the same day. See Ripped off via Gumtree (1) for second story. Here's what happened:
I bought two Pink tickets off of 07557522089 on 20th Feb. Originally they were selling tickets for the London's Thurs concert but I asked if they had any for the Sat and by luck they said actually they did. They said their group had bought tickets that separated them but had later managed to grab tickets that allowed them to all go to the same one in Manchester as that's better for them as they are from Nottingham. They were selling a pair for £120, I agreed to buy them and it was agreed that I transfer the money over and they will courier the tickets to make sure they arrive. They say they sent them the next day and courier would deliver them at the beginning of the week as now it was Fri/Sat. Throughout the week the seller was very good at keeping in contact via texts always asking if they had arrived and each day when they hadn't they'd say they'd check with the courier. A week after the purchase the seller said I had missed the delivery and so they would come the next week as it was again Fri. This time I asked to change to my work address and they were happy to go ahead an do that. End of two weeks it still hadn't arrived and for a few texts the seller again asked if I'd received them and kept me informed on the day the courier had said they would deliver and even the seller expressed concern of 'I don't know what's wrong but I'll check with the courier'. Silly me, I didn't ask for the courier company or any tracking details and when I decided I'd waited long enough for them to arrive and wanted to get the courier details I have now been trying to contact the seller and the phone goes straight to voicemail.
I do not feel like this is a scam, I feel like they are on holiday or something but for about two weeks I have not been able to get anything but their voicemail and I still haven't received the tickets at my home or work. I have their sort code and account no and the name they gave is Mr Lee. Any idea if this is a scam or if I can get the money back via the bank?
Please please help!!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated,
Thank you

Paragraphs would help your post, I got confused part way through.
Bank transfers are unsafe from a buying point of view, the banks will not and cannot recover any money for you.
If they have used a courier then they must know where the tickets are, if they are lost then they know that too. I can't see any positive points in this at all and would call 'scam'I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Unfortunatly you have been robbed for these tickets and the Beyonce tickets.
You are taken such a massive risk trying to get tickets this way, and to do it twice really is stupidity.
Once bitten twice shy?
My advice to anyone buying tickets from individuals or non official ticket resellers, is never part with money until the ticket is in the palm of your hand.
I hope you have finally learnt your lesson.0 -

AND you know it's genuine with the correct hologram. Check at the box office to be sure.0 -
Report the matter to the police. It may not help you but they can stop more people being defrauded.0

Sorry, but you must be incredibly naive to fall for this a second time (had to say this even though you know it yourself).
The whole thing screams scam.
First they just happen to have tickets for the alternative date that you want.
Second they want payment by bank transfer, which is not reversible.
Finally, all the courier problems, but no courier details provided for you to track delivery.
The phone number will likely be an anonymous pre-pay, and the bank account belonging to a mule (or opened with false details), so there is a virtually zero chance of you getting your money back.
As luck would have it though, I have 2 tickets for the date you require, which I will let you have for £90. You can send me the money by Western Union to John Smith, London - just send me a scan of the paperwork and I'll courier the tickets to you as soon as I have collected your cash.0 -
Just dont use gumtree for tickets full stop. You cant trust the seller will actually have the tickets let alone bank transfer is a giveaway.0

Thanks for the responses, will be reporting it to the Police, but like I said both purchases happened on the same day and both turned out the same way. It wasn't fact that I didnt learn the first time round, it was just that they happened on the same day.
First and last day I have used Gumtree.0 -
I googled the sellers mobile number and lots of results came up, a few for an advert for a chinese cook needed for a takeaway/restaurant, close to Norbury railway station.
One ad I looked at was from May last year, so they have been using this number for quite a while. I would approach the police with all this, maybe if a few people complain they will do something.
It is amazing what comes up when you google a phone number! people sometimes leave more of a trail than they realise.0 -
I guess the SIM may well be used and passed around within the criminal underground as a non-traceable number for committing scams.Never Knowingly Understood.

And I am guessing there is no way I can get the full name and address of the guy, from the account number and sort code, cos of data protection act. So fustrating!! But agreed will report to police, as really don't want this to happen to anyone else.0
