It seems that I am a 36FF :( I feel like a freak, can't get clothes to fit me properly (weird shape: big bust, little waist, big hips so nothing fits me. I always have a baggy waist area and if I wear clothes to define my waist, I am just putting these bazoomas on show.

36-24-42 (now this is not the norm with FF to boot)

I'm probably not helpful - but that sounds like a perfect womans figure!

I think i'm 34-30-30 - If it wasn't for hair and make-up, i'd look like a boy. I'd love to wear proper 'lady' clothes with curves and a tiny waist!

I only watched this programme the other night and I could relate to some of the problems mentioned.

I went to M&S 10 years ago to get measured and came out none the wiser. I had 6 staff measure me, no two sizes were the same, (not one of them fitted, I looked totally squashed in all the bra's I was given). Their advice was to wear what I had been wearing as they had never came across anything like me before! (nice eh)

So for 10 years I have wore a 34DD, but of late I have been suffering terrible back and neck pain and really bad headaches. On seeing that not everybody is as shambolic as M&S, I went to John Lewis to get measured.

What do you do to overcome this? I tend to think I look a show in things that other people say really suit me and the things I feel comfortable in, people say they nothing for me.

I just feel like a freak, I want to wear nice clothes and have pretty girly bra's, instead of hiding myself away and wearing granny bandages!

You need to get a bravissimo catalogue - they can also fit you over the phone and all the staff have big boobs too so you get lots of help from people who know what it is like.

I'm probably repeating everyone else but hey!

I'm a 32H... and I'm agree OP I think M&S are in the dark ages of bra measurements... aged 17, mum thought I was a B cup, M&S thought maybe a C or D or DD (yes sooo specific) and I went round for a good few years looking a bit stuffed!!

I ended up in Bravissimo aged 21 to be told I was a 36G! Bit of a difference! They didn't even take a tape measure to me, they just looked and knew my size.

4 years later, I seem to have settled at 32H (regardless of weight losses or gains). I have bought only one or two bras from Bravissimo, as when I have settled on a style I like (usually a balconette by Freya as the choice is still not vast) I'll go online and buy a couple, often from Figleaves as someone has mentioned. Then I can take advantage of any discount codes or links via cashback sites.

I'm 36G. I was booked in for a breast reduction on the NHS 2 years ago, but chickened out (basically because you weren't allowed to see any pics from the surgeon, you couldn't get any idea what size you would be, there was mrsa in the hospital at the time...)

I stand a bit more trouble getting bras, not just because of my size, but my overall shape. My back is pretty broad... meaning that a lot of 36G bras wind up with the underwire way under my arms, and not actually around my bust! I find freya to be good for me, but given the price, I can't buy many or often.

I went into a department store here, and decided I was due a measuring. The woman looked like she came directly from hitlers bunker. She took me in the back, measured around my chest, told me I was a 36, then she looked at my bust, and said C cup. Naturally I told her she was having a laugh, but she insisted on getting me a 36C bra. She left and I tried it on, only to find as I expected that it barely covered my nipples! I dressed, and was leaving the changing rooms and bumped back into her. She was walking towards me, and asked how it went. I told her it was no where near right. She held up a 36f bra and said, "well, as you can see, this is clearly HUGE!". So I went in the changing rooms, tried it, and it was still to small. I left and handed it back to her "it might be HUGE, but it isn't huge enough!".

This is only 1 time I've been offended out bra shopping (they don't look very big when strapped down, they just make me look a size 16 instead of 12!). Another time I asked an assistant if they had anything pretty in my size, rather than old fashioned, only to be told "well, if you WILL be that size, you have to take what you can get!"

Needless to say, I have a stiff drink now before bra shopping, and one day will pay private for a reduction.

Sorry, for jumping in (was looking for something else), but thought will say something. Did you consider surgical procedure, sure you will benefit from it.
I know very good doctor Prof Laurence Kirwan who does these procedures. Also there are plenty other doctors online. Hope this helps, and don't take me wrong.

Could we put out a post asking if there is anybody in MSE who works in Bravissimo who could give us the nod when the sale is due? I am just so relieved they have brought out a 34K cup. For those new to Bravissimo the darker colours come up slightly smaller in the back which most of the staff tell you but not all. So if your usually a 34 you may need a 36.

Hi OP, I have the same problem and I got rapidly fed up the sarky comments (mainly from girls at work) about my chest - I was always "showing off", dressing like a tart or showing too much. It's upsetting and really destructive, as I never wore anything tight or low cut, just fitted so I didn't look 40'odd inches from head to toe. It took me a long time to get over the bullying and get my self confidence back - but I now feel much better about it. Okay, so I'm not a normal shape but I'm not boring and the same as everybody else either.

Bravissimo is best I've found round here too and their mail order service is pretty good, although if you are in London and can get to Rigby and Peller, they are truly amazing too and have the best customer service in the world. They aren't cheap, but I figured I have to wear the damn thing every day, so it might as well fit and be comfortable (they last forever too). A good fitting comfortable bra will make you feel better and take away the backache. The trick is also finding a style that suits you too and trying things on is the only way here - the one thing I hate for example is when the underwiring parts don't meet in the middle but have gap betwen them - makes my breasts stick out in a stupid way and looks awful!

Next actually often do some nice bra's for the larger sizes, I bought my little sis a lovely lacy lemon yellow bra in a 34F this morning in the sale for £1.
