Council Tax Bill

Hi All,

Just had my Council Tax bill yesterday and its actually less than I was paying last year which has surprised me! I pay full council tax with no discounts and yet its £4.00 cheaper per month than last year!

What is happening with your Council Tax bill, has it increased or decreased.

Must say it was quite a pleasant surprise! :T

Do you pay over 10 or 12 months?

Two or three years ago we were pleased to see ours go down by £1 a month, until we realised they had changed from 10 months to 12, thus actually disguising a rise...

I pay over 10 months too, my council tax bill has gone up by £1 a month - my water charges are paid over 8 months and thats increased by £1 a month too, which in this climate I don't think is too bad at all.

Well in that case I'll shake my fist at you in an angry manner and slope off!

    Just kidding, lucky you!!!
  • Could someone answer me a question regarding council tax. If I want to pay in full, do I have to pay in April 13 for the 13/14 year or could I wait and pay the full bill in say March 14?

Good question, l don't think ours has changed too much although l'm going to double check it now.....

What l was surprised and annoyed at was the £154 for the Police Crime Commissioner, that's an awful lot of money when you consider every home in the area is paying the same AND we don't have a manned police station nearby it's about 10/15 miles away. We're in Lincs.

    Happy moneysaving all.
