I would guess at OS updates too...
If the phone was only on 7.5 out of the box..it could be the 7.8 update coming through. My advice would be to change the updates settings to only be done via WiFi (this affects OS updates only and not app updates IIRC)...although too late for this one now though...
I wouldn't rush to get rid of the phone..as others have said..it's actually a nice bit of kit once you forget about the OS's that you might have used in the past and get used to the WP interface.0 -
I bought a PAYG Samsung Ace 2 from Phones4U and had similar issues with it.
Took the phone into the shop and they set up a bogus ?account? to use instead of what is already set up and doesn't eat my data/credit any longer.
So I would suggest taking the phone into the store and see what they say.0
