300mb data usage in THREE days?! Nokia Lumia 610/Orange
Options
Bought a Nokia 610 last Friday from Phones4U, when i bought the phone I had to top it up with £10 credit with Orange, this was about 5pm; By 9pm WITHOUT using the phone (only on wifi) it had £0.17 credit left!
Thinking no more about it, i popped my PM sim into the phone on Sunday evening, downloading no apps, and it's used 300MB of data, luckily I have 2GB allowance but that is really besides the point.
Do you think I should return it?, also anyone know what they are like with exchanges/refunds?
Thanks guys

There will be apps using data, change the settings of the apps or switch data off if you do not wish the consumption to increase without your wanting.0

Turn your data off, it will be the same with all smartphones as the phone will be using the internet without you actively using the internet. Also download a task manager killer app that will kill apps when not in use. Use wifi wherever possible.

300Mb is a hell of a lot of data for a short-term background usage.
What's "PM sim"?0 -
I'm guessing Pay Monthly?0

Sorry Guys, I meant Pay Monthly
It's a Windows Phone so I'm not sure if Task Killer is available?
I called P4U who said call Orange and ask them what the data has been used on, they said (As I expected), that they where not able to tell me and that they could only tell me how much had been used.
I then called back P4U Tech support who got me to reset the phone and that was it, was refused a refund as it isn't faulty and I should take it up with Orange0 -
Think I might just bung it on eBay and be had with it, losing 20% off what I paid for it!, only had it 3 working days!< their website says 7 working days refund guarantee. So I have up until next Tuesday to return it, but I can't because it isn't faulty....0

If you bought on-line you have 7 days cooling off period (Distance Selling Regs) and you can change your mind for any reason (even if not faulty) and claim a refund.
But this does not apply to phones bought in the shop.0
