its in the letter Customers will only have a ATM card - you have to move your D/D's to another account.
Does the letter say about both the card and DDs or it is your interpretation?

Well, I don't see anything about DDs.
Recurring card payments indeed can be linked to debit and credit cards only.
DD is linked to an account, not to a card.
What is "everyday transactions" is absolutely unclear.

Update: The manger called me saying that Home Office replied them with a bunch of links. However, he could find no evidence on the Home Office site that states that the Biometric card is a REPLACEMENT for the stamp in the passport. In order words, Home Office no longer stamps in the passport and instead issue the biometric. Can someone help me out?

Get a letter from Home Office to confirm what you are saying ?

If that is too much hassle try another bank but you might come up against the same problem.

Direct Debits are not permitted on the First Reserve account:

    Taken from the T&Cs

12.3 Standing Order and Direct Debit payments are not permitted on your account.

so in that case are you claiming I made this up ?

are you claiming that the letter sent out was false ?

here is the proof that I dont tell lies

that has been in place for several years and up to now has not been a problem.

its clear that the T&Cs may have been changed since I first opened the account but that is not my problem

all I know is for some unknowing reason Natwest are taking away all the facilities that came with the account and replacing it with a ATM card with no other facilities

or are you claiming I made that up as well ?
