Update on yet another increase in price of milk.....now it's 2 milk for £1.50 !!!
For me that's not really an increase because as far as I'm aware the milk was the only product in the 2 for £1.20 offer, and I might not use 2 cartons bought together. The 2 for £1.50, however, includes several other products I can mix and match.

I Can't Believe It's Not Butter is now 39p for a 400g tub, and jars of Dolmio bolognese sauce are 49p. They also have 300g blocks of Farmfoods cheddar cheese (mature or mild) for 99p, and they now do tinned cat food at 3 for £1.

I've found lately that they don't normally give or offer me a receipt (though I presume they're available on request). Is this a chain-wide thing? I like to be able to check my receipt for misprices, which I've occasionally found (and never in my favour).

They still offer them at my store but I find increasingly, when shopping, I'm being asked rather than given a receipt automatically. I used a credit card to pay for a meal and drinks yesterday (in a bar) and the server had to go somewhere else to get me a print out (marked duplicate) as the machine didn't seem to produce one. Maybe it's an anti-litter drive.

I decided to try the mature cheese on offer, 99p for 300g.

Mistake, this is not a good product. It made tasteless and very greasy cheese on toast, like eating leather. I have no idea what I am going to do with the other 280g.

Iceland are doing 2x450g cheese for £3 and it's yummy, I like the extra mature cheddar strength 5
Why pay full price when you may get it YS ;)
  • Just out of curiosity as people were recently discussing cheddar, what's ASDA's cheese like nowadays? I used to buy their cheese quite some time ago though never really liked it.

Their currently selling British Cheddar 800g for £3 (£3.75/Kg). Offer includes mature, extra mature and mild
