My DH just loves pies! He told me that this week was National Pie Week (not sure if he made that up;)).

Is there a particular brand for the Scotch pies? I'd love to try them.

I don't buy much there but I always have a look around when I'm in there buying loo roll and kitchen roll.

The brand name is Duncan Mc Gregor and you get 6 pies in the box.

I have tried various makes but I find this the best, when you oven bake them (they are par baked already) for 20 minutes they turn out with a crispy pastry.

You should go to your nearest Farmfoods and try them I bet your DH will love them.:D:D

Large 1kg boxes of broken biscuit assortment are £2 a box, or 2 boxes for £3.00. I reckon they are Fox's. I got white choc cookies, chewy fruity cookies., jammie dodgers, etc.
Also bought bags of snickers miniatures....150g bags are 3 bags for £1.00.

I saw these at Farmfoods for £1 BOGOF - so 50p a box

From the looks of it they look a cross between Sugar Puffs and the honey and chocolate Cheerios.

    Both boxes are 500g.

    Wow, just wow.

I love sugar, but I seriously object to this kind of product. What decent parent would feed this kind of rubbish to their kids? And as for the manufacturer, !!!!!! is the "'goodness" they refer to. Someone tell the ASA.

I have to admit that I do shop at FF from time to time but I'm very selective in what I buy. Unfortunately a large proportion of what they sell is absolute junk, but then I suppose that's true of most SMs too especially the offers.

Probably the same parents that feed their kids with chips with every meal

Perhaps, it maybe the misleading motion of "goodness" and fortification leads them to inadvertently dose their kids with sugar?

They do, and most of us do eat it but there's a big difference between an adult making an informed choice and a company marketing their trash towards innocent children. I feel strongly about this as you can tell :(
