No splodges or stains but found a couple of letters not working on text messages ie M. We don't have any independent phone shops around here just the normal Carphone Warehouse, VF, Orange etc unless Carphone W and phones4us are classed as independent ? Thanks for your help.
Do you mean you cannot type M? What if you turn the phone from portrait to landscape? I suspect a non-working M is just evidence of a badly broken part of the digitiser - especially if it works when you turn the phone round.
Are you sure there is no-one local? I mean the little shops (or sometimes stalls in shopping centres and indoor markets) who sell covers, cases and offer phone unlocking and repair services? If you post your rough location, I'm sure someone might point you towards some local options. There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.

Might be worth contacting some of these if they are local to you (ignore the first on the list and the last three). Phone them and ask how much to fit a new Desire S digitiser screen.
PS - I'm not recommending any of them, they just came up in a quick google search. Hopefully a poster from Essex with some more local knowledge might read this and advise. There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.

There must be several independent phone shops in and around Chelmsford. Just google a bit. A quick search on Yell alone brought up 10.
Yes but none of them do screen repairs.
I've found HTC Desire S screen repair comoany who are charging £45 to repair Screens. Company seems fine so think I will go with them.
Many thanks for all your help everyone.0 -
There are plenty of websites where you can send your phone buy post and theyll fix it for you, and usually there are cheaper than your local phone shop. I think I used a company called phone hub, check it out in google. Or you could buy the screen yourself of ebay, although I heard they are quite technical to fix.0
