Do you have contact with these children? There is a moral stand to this that only you can take. Can you not afford it? Do those children not deserve some support from their father and if he can't do it himself, don't you feel some kind of duty towards them on his behalf? Maybe not, maybe you can't stand them, or maybe you have no contact with them at all, but otherwise, I fail to understand that you wouldn't want to contribute AS A COUPLE.
After all, my ex doesn't pay a penny towards our children who he sees every week-end (and I pay for their travel each week). If I lost my job, my partner would be expected to support them on his own, whether he likes it or not. One can argue that they live with him, so it is different, but it isn't really because my partner and children have very busy life and so don't spend that much more time together than they do with their dad every week-end. Still, that's how it is, and my partner wouldn't question it for a second because he would do it if not for them only, definitely for me as their mother.0 -
my hubby hasnt worked for years, only a few weeks here and a few weeks there, agency work, trust me hes tried, theres just no jobs about, in the last 3 years or so ive paid £40 a month out of my wages and pay lots more on xmas and birthdays, she must of recently contacted them for money, as theyve been intouch after 6 years, but he doesnt work doesnt even get benefits only stamp but ive paid all these years, should i stop ?ive been browsing through many areas on this forum , being new
. i personally dont have any thing to do with the csa nor do i have kids but a very good friend of mine does and has the most horrendous problems with the csa. he has no problem supporting his kids at all, but the amount they take make it almost impossible for him to have any kind of life and he works very hard. anyway he has contacted an organisation
where do csa get figures from
re; letter today,
you owe 28 per week on net income of 222.79
ahem, we are on JSA benefits £94 per week. on csa 2
I asked csa they said they ask inland revenue, i called inland revenue and no request of information has been made, ( are csa lying ?) . and inland revenue confirmed what we no we are on benefits,
so again where do they get amount from please ?well for some reason working tax credits put £262 into my bank, i dont know why, am not asking (before xmas). im not entitled to this money but im scared.
i have spent it. before this money was in the bank my kids (18 and 19 at home) were getting absolutly nothing for christmas, me and hubby getting £164 every 2 weeks benefit so you can imagine how skint we are. but im sorry i took the money and spent it on my children. they will have a few presents to open .
p.s. i bought a peice of pork for xmas dinner weeks ago i cant throw it away, we need it. i want too cry.
this is just one problem. i think ive had enough, i dont know how much more i can take.0
