Morning campers!!
Snow here this morning.
Distressing news about mum yesterday eveing sis sent me pics of mum after an 'incident' at the nursing home. She had apparently eaten a bar of soap and looks like she's done 5 rounds with Mike Tyson as her lip is sooo swollen, not nice to look at so I rang the home and insisted that she saw the doctor and they rang me to tell me what the doctor said. They rang at 02.40 to say the doctor had been and checked her out and wasn't worried about her so that was okay, rather a disturbed night tho' zzzzzzz this morning it's no less swollenSometimes I wish I lived closer so I could look after her. Spoke to my dad this morning and he was quite aggitated at the start of the call but seemed better once we'd chatted. I hate my parents getting old.
Ho hum
Today I need to
feed my hubby (full English is his Saturday treat!!)
clean out the 'fridge and make a shopping list then go shopping (in the snow!!)
clean the house (yes all of it LOL)
update children's learning journeys ready for parent's evening next week
start to update the assessment tracker ready for parents evening
right better get started
off I go......Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last0 -
Morning all,
Where is Spring?!!! Hope everyone stays warm and safe!
Love the pictures in the thread this week, thanks for sharing ladiesI have just read most of the thread through, seems to have been a busy week for all. Kaz well done on the strike action
stay strong, it seems like your point may be getting through to the rest of your family. Maybe you should start thinking about what you want your final outcome to be in terms of household jobs, rotas and your expectation that everyone pulls their weight. Good luck
Haven't managed to post much this week and haven't done much flying either as have had very little energy all week; I think the sore throat/head cold I had last week really did linger and it's taken it out of mehouse is really quite untidy now
I have done loads on my assignment though
Snow and slush here and rather grey too so not much planned; DD2 gone to Saturday job and DD1 on latop playing DH working so I think I really need to get up and give this place the once over.... Think I'll do the flylady 'weekly home blessing' thing as gives good fast results even if it is only a surface clean; I will hopefully get back into more detailed flying next week. Just finishing a second coffee and then I'm going to the 'home blessing' anyone want to join me 11.45-12.45?0 -
That Spidey looks a bit scary.. I'd be terrified waking up to that jumping on me!!! I hope DS likes it though!
I know it's very intimidating, he's quite a softy too,
So, I've mis-measured for my blinds  <insert suitable string of profanities>. How I've effing managed to chop 10cm off both width and length is beyond me. Can't return either. But, MIL to the rescue, has volunteered to stitch a border to it
which should save the day, and will most likely look fab too. Bless her, she said "don't worry, I do stuff like that all the time, half our mind is always on something else, isn't it?" :A
Lunch decluttered, cuppa about to follow...
Oh, and my cake has sunk in the middle, looks like a meteorite has hit itBossymoo

Washed dishes and looked at more photos on moodle.....I seem to be worried over nothing as DD looks like she's having a ball!!
It's snowing over there but the Netball is indoorsSorry boys out in the cold!!!
Girls were 2-2 at half time and the boys won their first game 6-1
Going to let food digest, then do a HHC in DD's room..............HHC at 1??????????? Oh and I need to do some ironing...................0 -
Oh my!!! I am half dead... 1.75 walls stripped and I am collapsed again.. now needing to go to B&Q for plaster, trowels, 2 buckets and might as well get taps while I'm there!
A large chunk of wall decided to commit hari-kari so I need to fix that.. KH took all the trowels and stuff though so I need to buy more... oh... and DD2 'lost' my bank card so OH will be paying
Best go find clothes and a hat.. my hair is vile and I am not washing it just to get plaster and wallpaper paste in it!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
