Tell her 'the laptop is a civil matter and the police will not get involved with that. However threatening behavour is, and if she comes to your door threatening you, you will call the police'.

Just to update, we still got lots of threats so contacted police they gave an incident number and said what to do if they did arrive. Meanwhile we have totally ignored her and low and behold she put the laptop for sale again, stating in good working order, we got a friend to ask if it all works any problems she replied no only selling as Ive now got a tablet. Took a screen shot of it, and havent had another message since...until it doesnt sell again!

Sounds like a simple case of buyers remorse to me.
  • Well done on sticking to your guns, too much of these scammers around, I used to get it quite a lot selling on Ebay, people would buy something, then start saying they wanted a partial refund because of some new problem that hadnt existed before.

Anyway I used to offer them a full refund and lo and behold suddenly they didnt want a full refund because they wanted to keep the item, they were just fishing for getting some money back even though there was nothing wrong with item.

At least now the police have a record that you've reported this person, any future threats made will get them into serious trouble. The police take any type of harassement / threats very seriously.
