Reliable unlimited/unthrottled ISP (alternative to O2 legacy)

I'm currently with O2 and the service has been incredibly reliable, without any real downtime (and we are online constantly all day in one form or another). As I've been with SKY in the past there is no way I'm staying with them.
We are currently on a £18 legacy package that's unlimited and unthrottled, is there a similar package anywhere else, either business or home use? Reliability is the first priority, I can't afford to be off line.

I've been looking into plusnet. Their current offer is unlimited broadband and basic calls for a total for £18.98 it's a pound more than you pay at the moment but if you want to avoid SKY (who I am looking to leave in June) then this seems like the best. The only other viable one is EE but you need t-mobile or orange contract.
If anyone else has any suggestions I'd be very interested because I'm looking to dump Sky soon too!0 -
BT now finally offer totally unlimited BB. And Plusnet also do so too.0

How reliable is plus net? last time I looked at BB service they didn't even exist yet, that's how long I've been with O2, such a nuisance having to move.0 -

I hear that BT is not very reliable though, that's why I have discounted them really, and plusnet are part of BT too, so not sure about them but I've not looked into this much yet.
PS I remember seeing a website with reviews from users, does anyone have a link pls?0 -

They've been doing okay for a while now, they got a which thing recently too.
This looks quite good, it's from Tesco but, I don't think it's truly unlimited. I personally would rather be on dial up than go anywhere near BT!0 -

BT BB landlines are now rock solid their BB service has now also won a Which recommendation and Plusnet constantly get rave reviews for the customer service they provide.
Yet, you are quite clearly suspicious of both BT and there subsidiary company Plusnet. So don't consider them then. You asked a question and I only answered it.
So the only other alternative for truly unlimited usage is Sky. Whom you will eventually be with anyway.
All the rest traffic manage. And some, murderously so.0 -

I had some horrendous experiences with BT customer service, they transferred my landline to an unrelated business customer (who happened to have a similar phone number and postcode) and they were incredibly rude and difficult to deal with although it was obviously their mistake and very simple to rectify. It took months and it was very stressful.
But I'm not saying other people shouldn't go with them, I'm just speaking for myself.0 -

Which is fair enough. So there are three providers who offer no traffic management policies. But you don't want to go with any of them. Which again is fair enough. Personal choice and all that.
So it would be best to look at the SamKnows Broadband Availability Checker and then find out who traffic manages the least -
