I’m a new lady driver, was never very fond of driving, but nowadays I drive automatic car as driving is a necessity…………am looking for a old (2002/2003/2004) small AUTOMATIC GOOD CAR. Confused between Auto ford fiesta, marcedes-benz and Honda jazz. Budget is around £6000. Want a good va,ue for money RELIABLE car…………..
Anybody using any of the above auto cars? Any comments/suggestions would be of great help,
Many thanks.

Smart ForFour if you want a 4/5 seater.
Smart ForTwo if you want a 2 Seater.
Smart Roadster if you want a real drive!!0 -
Toyota's are great for Reliability and are reasonably priced.
I would look at the Aygo or Yaris for a smaller car. The Yaris is great! and you should be able to get one for 6K which is less than 3 years old.Sealed Pot Challenge Member Number #19060 -

Save your money and buy decent cars, not rebadged mercedes which are causing merc loads of money due to their rubbishness.
Honda Jazz is a great vehicle, however, second hand ones are rare.0 -
Second the Jazz0

Thanks for your replies. Husband already drives a Toyota Avensis, so wanted something different than Toyota. Jazz is a real good car but quite expensive....What about Fiesta Auto? Not so popular is it?
probably have to increase the budget and go for Honda at about 7k.0 -
Is an Astra (old shape) too big? You'll be way under your budget, as it has little 'street cred', but is a very competent buy.
New model is bigger, but available at the top end of your price range.
If you'd think about an auction buy, the Motability fleet, which will have vehicles available at most big auction centres, is THE best selection of small automatics.

Definitly look at a Jazz. You could also consider a Nissan Micra or a Toyota Yaris, both of which are reliable, cheap to run and can come with auto 'boxes.Lack of money is the root of all evil.

I also believe you could drive the Citroen C2 with the gear shift buttons/paddle as it has no clutch peddle (I'm assuming you have an auto license)0

Honda or Toyota if you want quality and reliabilty, never had any problems in four years with my Honda Civic Auto, just routine servicing costs.0 -
i had an mmt yaris- please don't consider the mmt version (clutchless manual) as i found it to be very unreliable. go for a full automatic.
I traded mine in for a micra and am happy so far. the dealer says nissan was bought over by renault so i assume mine is a french car.
I would have bought a jazz but they are expensive even second hand. I couldn't find any automatic fiestas around either.
good luck in your hunt.0
