You'll be riveted to learn that flushed with the installation of Win 8 on son #2's PC yesterday (Win XP Pro ---> Win 8 Pro), I'm now upgrading spare PC from XP Pro ---> Vista Ultimate using a spare licence.
It'd gone very odd/ laggy and kept dropping broadband so hope this sorts it out.0 -

Amex Nectar is still advertised as no annual fee on their site:

You can get some fantastic Amex + Avios deals when you sign up. Never liked Nectar points much myself, they take ages to build up?
But you can get 3 free flights in one hit with Avios :cool:0 -

Letter says: "The changes to your T&Cs will take effect from 21 May 2013......first annual memebership fee will be billed soon after the anniversary of your account opening on your April 2014 statement"
if you log into your account online you can convert it to a non annual fee one that will still get nectar points (at the current rate of 1 point). I did that a couple of days ago.
They just seem to be doubling the nectar points and charging £25 a year for that
edit:
actually you don't need to go to your account, here's the direct link to choose an alternative card http://www.americanexpress.com/uk/microsite-nceapp/nectar-ip.html (about 2 thirds of the way down the page)0 -

no sunshine today. Been on the beach and it was quite pleasant even if it's a bit chilly.
Shopping today. I have a feeling it's going to be busy:eek: but it's got to be done.
