The pump cost about £45 if I remember rightly. It has a float so when the water rises to a certain level the pump fires up. We dug a hole and sunk a plastic bin into it to house the pump. Well get those wires sunk FC!! But yes, a good idea. Sink a bin in the ground with some mesh or something over it, then just switch the pump on when the garden starts to flood.“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”
