MG midget!!! that's true love artha........we drove past a VW camper van for sale yesterday ( wrecked) not us, the camper! and my OH was so interested he wanted to pass it again on the way home. He has been talking about how he could do it up.....talking alot about it:cool:

I caught him on the drive earlier......'just wondering' if we could fit a camper on it :rotfl:

Weird thing about that Midget was that I spent a lot of time restoring it before it was sold...looked a peach. Sold in 1978. 3 years ago, quite by chance we discovered that it was alive and fairly well and had been in the garage of a friend of a friend for 15 years. We did consider buying it for old times sake but eventually chickened out....I'm getting too old to be lying under cars in the winter on a cold concrete floor:eek:

I worked for Camrex (Holdings) Ltd...paint manufacture. I jumped ship in 1978 just before they closed and everyone was made redundant. I think they rose from the ashes some time later as Camrex Chugoku
Oh, before my time, although I think there is still a camrex house still there

Reason I asked about sunderland was I met a bloke at sunderland college who was into photography and was a scientist for ICI in the paint dep. (or crown or dulux)

    Can you remember his name?

Dont think anyone has answered this as yet. . . ?

The finest mini's seem to be excluded this time, least in any of my stores tried today, the 2 for £3 has dissappeared plus of the four stores I tried there was very few mini finest to be had - real shame as I have used this 25% deal to stock up on them for a few years.

B.H Merlot was the best deal I could find on mini's today, one store had loads of J.C Shiraz mini's late last night and a big empty shelf this morning at 8.30 (think they've finally sussed this one :( )

Agree with you Raven - couldn't find any finest small wines in the 2 stores I went in - or wines at higher end of Neosi's preliminary list yesterday. But I did get a couple of 2 for £3 offers for wines at £2.20 odd each initially - results below - so may be worth a punt at your local even without a SEL or maybe AvT shop. HTH
