I had a reply from t's about my overcharge.
They said to return to store and show them the correct maths and cs will give me a refund.
I asked if I could return to a store closer to me.
Don't really want to tell todays cs she was wrong.
They did not mention dtd just that it 'would be corrected for me'.
Do not have any profile in t's except asking for magazines they haven't got.:rotfl:

Huge huge thanks to whomever mentioned the finest lamb (I think it was this morning but could have been last night as I played catch up this am) :T :T. I have managed to find 3 in 2 stores so has worked out at approx £3 each joint. (Used finest coupon - one was just under £10 so added finest creamy coleslaw). Massive thanks.
Have been amazed today - as not only have £2 finest coupons but been able to use up to 4 per shop ......
2 troutings by CS in one store (Clifton Moor in York) but I held my ground, took ages tho. First one easy - double diff lamb - went to see shelf - her muttering offer on different lamb, put in wrong place etc) sees SEL which she agrees (I mollify her with the oh sorry for the inconvenience I didn't realise til it went throug - it was such a bargain - has it just started - which it had. So she and worked it out correctly but then decided a manager needed to oversee amount (£15.98), waited 10 mins with huge queue behind for a manager that didn't come- then she just processed it anyway:mad::T.
Started to drive home (30 miles) then I remembered the 2 for £10 sign on Nero D'avola - I'd forgotten to check receipt for that (what a numpty) so turned off at next roundabout (only 1/2 mile from store thank god) - sure enough not given it and charged £13.98. So back to store - now I know there may be trouble as same lady on CS and same receipt, but £8 is £8! Mercifully queue going down. Troggs to other side of store to check 2 for £10 label still there - yep back to ... Queen bee trout as it turns out, full of drivel and bile...
Explain nicely - she grabs receipt - I expect her to say she will look at label but no ....
CS -yes you have had it back it says 2 for £3
Me - oh that is for the 6 little bottles I brought
CS - Its here in the 25% of 6 bottles of wine
Me - I don't think so - this is 25% off bottles of wine offer
CS - are you sure you have brought enough ...
Me - erm yes - 6 large bottles and 6 small bottles of which 2 D'Avola
CS - Show me on receipt ...(so I do) ....I will have to work it out as I think the 2 for 10 is in the 25% figure .... (doh - not listening or prepared to accept the obvious)
Me - ok
Well she gets a sweat on with her calculator and keeps messing it up and fuffing and starting again - huge queue behind me now ( I now also know I am not going to make it back to say ta ra to DS teacher who is emigrating and his last day). But the advantages of having no job and recuperating from illness and husband on earlies to pick up kids is that I have all the time in the world and she doesn't.... She i snow seriously stressing herself with needless calculations. Woman on tobacconist comes over to help with queue muttering this is ridiculous. SA still faffing with calculator. After 5/7 minutes
Me -( tentatively) - I do think thats just the 25% offer (where it says 25% offer)
SA - well I still have to work it out .....
Eventually she gets there ...
SA - this is just 25% off - so you haven't had 2 for £10 - I need to see the label
( - no kidding sherlock could have done this 10 minutes ago not that I showed this I kept a calm outward demeanor as per my schooling here from the experts..)
Me - I'll just come with you ..
We get 2 aisles when she accosts this guy doing an end of aisle display. "This guy works wines and spirits, he'll know - we'll ask him.. ". He is politeness itself - doesn't even bother going to check ... "Oh haven't they pulled that from the shelf", explains to SA that offer should have been pulled so its ok as it is a mislabel and reassures me re honuring SEL price. Walks back to CS with lady.
Huge queue - she starts to do refund -
CS - So thats £3.98 overcharge to be refunded.
Me - erm doesn't double the difference apply?
CS - No because the offer has been pulled so DD doesn't apply ()
Me - I think you will find it does as SEL was incorrect therefore DD does apply.
CS - No its a pulled offer.
Now I am getting cross - gesticulate to other side of store
Me - You said you would accomapny me to see the shelf label, we didn't get there because we saw the gentleman responsible, he has confirmed the overcharge, I have been overcharged therefore I would like dd and if you feel that I can't have it then I am happy to talk to a manager ....
Silence - then ....£7.98 refund on card.
I thank her politely - first time in that store for a year and won't be in a hurry to return again.
Now before you say - I should have taken it on chin and then phoned HO CS . I had been sent a gift card by them on my last shop as DD not given for meat - but today when I tried to use it instead of having £6 on it - it was for zero amount! So thats my task for tomorrow! So didn't want to asking for another....!
As you know I live a distance away from most supermarkets so only get to shop at Mr T once a month if that but dear god the amount of overcharges and not honoured offers - they must be making a mint and DD must be saving them a fortune in mispricing misdemeanors with trading standards.....
Can't believe some of the excuses though - ...
Re finest meal deal .. chicken and leek pie nice, chicken breast and mustard and tarragon sauce especially nice. (all in finest meal deal). don't be tempted by the red in the meal deal if Monte D'abruzzio not available (Somontana - just n/a against other stores). HTH0 -
