  • Just said to OH can you remind me of the word "wavy" when we're at Sadas looking at Easter eggs, he said "yes hun so if I say the word WAVY to the sales assistant will they give me the egg free???" I am tempted to let him try and hide behind an aisle and watch !!!

He had heard me talking about the BS thing, saying happy bunny to the SA...... this is the same dear OH who recently asked me if I got "trousered" in Sada, instead of trouted...........

Let them have it both barrels in my opinion. As you say, you are capable of standing up for yourself, but you shouldn't have been put through that in the first place. My hat goes off to you standing your ground. This happened to me with the beef....I didn't stand my ground and accepted a refund. When I got home I was so angry with myself for being such a wimp. then phoned Tesco cs and vented my anger out on them. They sent me a £10 gift card as a goodwill gesture but even that is not enough really. They said the meat had 'obviously' been left in the offer meats by another customer.

I got the claim that it was the Irish Topside Beef on offer, not the British Topside - not that the SEL made any differentiation and the only difference on the packaging was British or Irish! In the earlier store on U/S Wiltshire Gammon same as you I got the claim that it was only the flashed packs that were on offer and someone must have put it in the wrong place (identical packaging apart from the half price flash/lower price per kg). I haven't contacted CS yet as I am still deliberating which one deservered retraining (both were actually very pleasant so not keen on getting either into trouble) and also as I have had a fair few joints of meat since you all introduced me to it I don't really want to put myself on the radar (that said, I didn't use my clubcard on the Topside purchase, so may drop them a friendly email ...).

J1 at Antrim had them last night at 9.00ish as I got a selection. They had A8, Twirl, Mars Friends, Galaxy Minstrels, Quality Street and some other cadburys one. It worked for me, got £9.00ish back on my £10.00 spend.

I got the A8 with the 6705 at the end of the bc
Patti, haven't been on for a few days so I haven't kept up with glitches - I'll be in my local A in a little while - what exactly am I looking for and I'll gladly check and let you know

There are two diff A8 eggs - it is the one with bc ending 6705 that you will be looking for plus two eggs that are cheaper at Sains. Thanx

  • I see that people are having increasing difficulty with Tesco not operating its own policy properly.

It happened to me at Tesco Pendleton recently where Customer Service said that DTD did not apply where the SEL was out of date "because customers were switching labels"

The customer behind me, who was also overcharged on an out of date SEL, has taken my details as a witness as he is considering legal action against Tesco for slander.

It may be that Tesco price integrity teams are measured on the levels of refunds given on pricing errors, with bonuses adjusted accordingly. If so, there is a natural incentive to avoid applying the Company Policy regarding DTD.

It needs a whistle blower inside Tesco!
