Hi DavidF.
I was going to send you a PM about your post below, but you have chosen not to receive PMs.Hi peeps. I was thinking this morning (dangerous I know) about my last nights DTD dealings with Mr.T. I have come to the conclusion that at least 1 of the so called "customer services" was 1. Trying to intimidate me and 2. Falsifying here "position" within Mr.T and even 3. I don't think she should have even been involved in the conversation at all seeing as her badge pointed to her working for "Tesco Direct". Her desk is about 6 meters away from CS so I think she was just trying to "Gang up" so to speak.
Now for clarity here is my post from yesterday

The bit I am interested in is this -
Now let me make clear to save you all reading that thread again if you don't wish - I got my DTD after duty manager come along and informed them that I was correct and they were to give me DTD.
I am just thinking that if I were a "little old lady" I may well have been intimidated by this false "legal eagle" into backing off and paying full price ect. The other point is when Duty manager agreed with me she had a face like thunder and litterally rushed back to her own desk which IMHO is where she should have stayed through out the whole thing.
What do you guys and gals think ? Does she need a little retraining ? Does she need reminding of her actual job title and what that job entails and what it does not cover ?
So in the end do I just leave it seeing as I "won" OR Should I drop an email to head office to point out the error of this Mr.T employee's ways ? I really am 50/50 at the moment. I mean on one hand I won and am perfectly able to defend/stand up to any jumped up Mr.T staff lol. But on the other hand if this had been my misses/sister or the little old lady across the road I am fairly confident that they would have felt intimidated and also may have either 1. Accepted an over charge or 2. Let them cancel the transaction altogether which is obviously not what Mr.T wants as otherwise they would not have DTD.
I want your thoughts people lol.You can't live a perfect day without doing something for someone who will never be able to repay you. ~John Wooden 154/06/2700 -
Im now 60/40 against complaining now lol. Like I say I "won" and tbh I enjoy a good "debate" even if it is against 3 vrs 1 and 1 of the 3 is from MR.T Legal dep lol. But I DO like my DTD and do enjoy my sunday roast ect...lol
People like Ms Legal Eagle see us as chancers and I suppose we are but Tosco still should follow the policy...we just have to fight one glitch at a time. I wouldn't bother letting tosco know because then they may direct attention towards the mispriced meat thing......never stop doing your best because someone doesn't give you credit0 -

Said like true Mser
I got caught out at my local over batteries a while ago, some dishonest member of staff removed the clip strip with the price on and said it wasn't there. I had a refund but will enjoy getting even next time.;)0 -

Take what you've got and run:) Rubbing it in will not do you any favours for the longer term no matter how enjoyable it may feel. Don't kick em when they are down....they have a nasty habit of getting back up and biting your bum:rotfl:Awaiting a new sig0 -

Let them have it both barrels in my opinion. As you say, you are capable of standing up for yourself, but you shouldn't have been put through that in the first place. My hat goes off to you standing your ground. This happened to me with the beef....I didn't stand my ground and accepted a refund. When I got home I was so angry with myself for being such a wimp. then phoned Tesco cs and vented my anger out on them. They sent me a £10 gift card as a goodwill gesture but even that is not enough really. They said the meat had 'obviously' been left in the offer meats by another customer. Before you assume, learn the facts,
Before you judge, understand why,
Before you hurt someone, feel,
Before you speak, think.0 -
