OH gets these in winter only - they are killers. They are, if I am reading you correctly, the equivalent pain of a cut on the heel of foot. Here's what ya do with them. Take a Ms Shoes salon style nail file and file them down rather than cut them. Then take a heavy duty hand cream to soften them.......softened skin heals whilst hard skin does not heal. Then put plasters over them to keep them soft and moisturised. Ya must wear your gloves mimi to aid recovery every time you go outdoors. HTHXX

Thanks Aunt Patty. You are a love. I will give the filing a go tonight and see if I can locate any creams at home. I'm sure dear Mother will have something. If not, then I shall just use some E45. Many thanks to you and all the others for your numerous tips. You are all adorable and lovely. :D

Hi COT was the total cost for the 3 items £1.68? TIA i'm just about to head out to Ts

No the cost was £4.25 but that's because they bought the top pie at £4.24.
The scotch pies produced the 2 discounts. 3 for 2 and 2 for £2.50.
So if still working, buying 6 scotch pies should be £1.72

Was just going to post about the hemp balm, its got a horrible smell.

I think I had the hemp to trail once.

If you put it on at night before you go to bed then the smell is not a problem - thats what I do and then I have the posh locctane stuff for day time usage :)

It appears that the playstation3 I bought (pre-owned) from GAME 2 weeks ago has a fault. Keeps switching off randomly. Googling suggests it is overheating/ Supposedly GAME clean out their pre-owned stuff before selling on. Luckily it had a 12 month warranty.

On the website it says that returns can be made to a store, but I'm wondering if they will give a replacement in store??

As some of you will know I've been scanning the snowmen in my T everyday for over a week now waiting for them to go to 1p. Usually go first thing on my daily shop but didn't go till after lunch today to see my "precious" stash (3 full trays!) has been reduced to 6 snowmen with heads missing or their faces smashed in.

So come on, which local lurker has taken my snowmen?

Or was it Barbara numbers? What about TrulyMadly, was it you on your flying raid to collect magazines?:rotfl:

On the plus side DW tried one and wasn't impressed even for 1p:rotfl:

Might just have to go whoopsie tonight to satiate my daily need for a bargain:o Got my eye on something but not sharing that one;)

Oh Artha, it's always worth re-stocking a few elsewhere ... like behind the overpriced manuka honey which hardly seems to sell or some expensive coffee, just above eye level :)

It couldn't have been The Farmer that got my snowmen as I don't think he does anything bargain wise bar getting the best joints of meat ahead of everyone else:(
He was shoving the sa out of the way not badly but definately pushing to get to the joint.
