Good evening everyone. It is nice to sit down, had a very busy day.

Had my day all mapped out, thought I wasn't looking after my grandson today. Turns out my OH was meant to tell me I was. Guess who turns up at 8:30

I had to drag the poor thing down to T's trying to find heated propogators, fleecy undersheets and torches. Torches scanned at £6, neither of the others there :(

DS finally collected him at 13:30, then I could start doing what I had planned to do - had to totally demolish a divan bed (wrecked anyway) to get it out of the spare room so we can get DDs bed in there, she has bought a new one and it is coming on Wednesday, old one is perfectly good for a guest bed :D Problem was, first I had to take everything off that had been piled onto it :eek:

Then I had to come down and make some rosemary ciabatta rolls and some chestnut and mushroom soup.

It is very nice to sit down!!!

I'm sure someone on here has the answer to my question!
What is Mr T's policy on refunding on faulty electricals?
My OH bought a camera last night, and was fiddling with it this morning when the screen froze, and no buttons would work. He had to take the battery out and put it back to get it on track again. So we took it back to the store, and explained what had happened. The guy said because he couldn't see the fault and it looked like it was fine he couldn't do anything, no refund. Then he said have you just changed your mind? because if you'd just changed your mind I could do something, we said no! it is faulty and want our money back! ( at first we said yes, as thought he was trying to help us, but he was just asking if we were lying about it!)
So we went to customer services, and got the manager, who said he had done the right thing, and that he would refund us this time, but really it was our problem to deal with and we would've had to contact the brand of camera (vivitar)! to sort it out!
Well, we got the refund, but can't believe the hassle, and the fact he thought we were lying just to return it!
Really narked
Has any one else had experience of this?

Thank you :)

That's disgusting, shouldn't be any query at all, if you say you bought it and its faulty then they should replace no questions asked.

I would definitely complain to head office about this, make a fuss of trading standards etc. Honestly! Some staff just like to be difficult for the sake of it.

The retailer has to sort out the problem, not the manufacturer.

Thanks all you lovely ladies and gents for the tips re: the hand cream. I will definitely be getting some on Monday. It's this awful weather that has made my skin start to tear/peel. The worst ones are on your toes and when they catch each time you move. Ouch!
Warm olive oil or almond oil (T's sells it - KTC brand - they do coconut oil, as well, it's not organic but it will do):A

No but some of the stuff is amazing. She had knitted Easter chicks in egg cups, spring flower tea cosies, felt bunnies.
Everything was so well made and reasonably priced.
It's nice to support her:)
£5 to me is even under -priced. If she starts selling on-line, could you, please, drop me a line:A TA:A

till took off 3 for 2 -£1.69 and 2 for £2,50 - £1.68

Thanks to fosters

This was last night and in Tosco, looks like it could be Scotland only

I think if still working and you bought 6 packs of scotch pies it should come to £1.72 if still working.

Definitely down to Tesco's, nothing to do with the manufacturer!

I had some phones I had got on DTD, fortunately I keep all receipts, they went wrong after 8 months so I took them back to Tesco and got my money back with no problem at all (and that was the money I paid before DTD :D). They didn't even open the box!! I would definitely contact HO about this because they were VERY wrong.

Thanks to you and Floflo & SDB.
Yes, I think I shall send an email to head office. Is customer.services@tesco.co.uk
the best one to use?

Re Shop Scan save.
Got my free Fairy liquitabs today at a Co-op that I did the Malteasers in a few weeks ago. Staff still didn't have a clue lol.. still got the swag tho :)

Know what you mean!......I have redeemed my coffee in the Co-op last two times as there is 50% free on the 200g jar and the staff know what to do there. Smaller shops have been hit and miss.

Funny thing happened the other day. There was a PayPoint rep in shop at the time and he said "I know what to do I'll put it (Kit Kat) through for you"........well 3 attempts later with the shopkeeper saying it could not be used in his shop, the PP guy realised the Kit Kat had Arabic writing on and said that was the reason it would not work. I looked at Kit Kats again and found one with English on and it went through ok :)

Does anyone know of any hand creams that can sort out those fiddly little skin tears on the ends of fingers? I'm getting bored of snipping them off with nail cutters everyday and it's agony when they catch in gloves/clothes. Thanks in advance. :D

OH gets these in winter only - they are killers. They are, if I am reading you correctly, the equivalent pain of a cut on the heel of foot. Here's what ya do with them. Take a Ms Shoes salon style nail file and file them down rather than cut them. Then take a heavy duty hand cream to soften them.......softened skin heals whilst hard skin does not heal. Then put plasters over them to keep them soft and moisturised. Ya must wear your gloves mimi to aid recovery every time you go outdoors.
