Never even knew they had clutches!!

Luck has not been with you there AAU. Any idea why it has suddenly started to leak??

Sod's law. We're as strapped for cash as ever after getting the place all done up.

Hopefully it's just a wee bit of pipe needs replacing and the floorboards will dry out and the smell will dissipate. At least we know it's not been going for years and years because we would have seen it when carpets were laid or rewiring was being done

That's a nuisance- not just a washer that needs tightening? I had the same a few years back with a leaking radiator. I turned the radiator off so no water would go in. The boiler pressure did drop and I kept having to let more water in to system...plumber and spending money on new rad was the only solution for me:eek::eek:

We'll find out tomorrow. If he can't fix it on the cheap I'm happy enough for him to just bypass the radiator and we can do without it for a while. At least it's just the hall and not a bedroom

don't know whether to be ashamed or excited? Me and OH have been skip diving tonight:eek:

Where we live there's Alot of LHA houses. In a bid to encourage people to dispose of larger items the LHA has put some skips out for a week....they put them almost outside our house:o

.....we've got pallets and timber (firewood) loads of those big builders supplies sacks ( ideal spud planters), a stable type door ( good if it fits firewood if it doesn't) and some terracotta plant pots.

Well it would be getting disposed if anyway......yes? And I have to say it was a bit thrilling creeping around in the dark looking for treasure :D

I love looking in skips:rotfl: Once one appeared outside of my FILs bungalow when the bungalow next door was changing hands and was being cleared of the furniture that was left. Rescued a near perfect dining table and very clean upholstered chairs for DD who was just setting up house at the time. A bit of a clean and polish and they came up like new apart from a bit of sun fading as they had been in a conservatory:)
    Awaiting a new sig

Better that you make good use of it than it end up in some landfill. I hate waste.
