I am sure Ts will take it back, how strange was it sold to you as gold or gold plated, did the jeweller say if it was gold, doesn't sound like it,Either way I am sure you will send it back, must be Ts suppliers at ,fault ,:eek:does Horsemeat come to mind.

I can't send it back as DD2 has already seen it as its for her b'day and its gone to be sized....it is gold but there is just a smear inside where the hallmark should be.
I don't want dd2 to know and, of course, they don't have any more stock.

    Have you contacted Tosco ?

I would DEMAND a replacement to the value of rrp, not the sale price

And vouchers too. Its very serious business, almost fraudulant, to flog something as gold when it is not.

I am sure you might ask trading standards about it too...

I think I will ring them as I am so upset, its the principal of the thing.
You wouldn't buy something as a present that was worthless and the jeweller said you would have a problem selling it as the hallmark missing means that even I can't sell it as gold.

That smear sounds to me as if that ring has already been sized once before, ie made smaller and the hallmark taken out,I always asked for the h/m to be left visible when having rings altered, because I know from experience they sometimes cut the h/m out ,you often find this on antique rings .

There are some Thorntons ones working (T & S) I believe but not as well as they were and the Lindt bunnies/chicks. Buy in pairs - not bought myself so don't know b/c's etc.

thanks for that, was hoping to get some on 3 for £10 that would compare somewhere my asda has just got the right a8 in and the retro yorkie, never had either when they were comparing good.... typical..

We are off on our very 1st cruise (P&O), well honeymoon actually :j, next month.

We dont drink alcohol and would like to take cans of soft drinks to save money.......do we need to smuggle it in????

Hide it in suitcases etc???

We live in Southampton, so its not far to take it but we have no idea of the protocol :o

Just catching up, but no, you dont need to smuggle it on, P&O are one of the few lines that dont mind you taking a sensible amount of drinks on, and to be fair, their drink prices on board are reasonable too. What ship are you going on?

Do you mean Tesco has sold me a second hand ring ?
If so they should have checked it on return, as they had every size when I ordered.
