Just catching up, but no, you dont need to smuggle it on, P&O are one of the few lines that dont mind you taking a sensible amount of drinks on, and to be fair, their drink prices on board are reasonable too. What ship are you going on?

    Afternoon :)

Loving all the cucumber posts.....but I still just bought 1

My OHs appointment went well, I think. Today was just an assessment/chat to see if the therapy would be suitable for him. It's called mindfulness based CBT. It's about not getting depressed about the past or anxious about the future and concentrating on strategies for coping with the here and now. I think it sounds really positive. It's fairly new to the PCT in this area so OH is fortunate to be offered a place. He starts an 8 week course of it next month :j:j he's more ......but he's like that about everything just now.

Is this the sort of thing TM was talking about the other week? I wonder

    Yes exactly that FC.

It can really change the way you look at life:):)

We are off on our very 1st cruise (P&O), well honeymoon actually :j, next month.

We dont drink alcohol and would like to take cans of soft drinks to save money.......do we need to smuggle it in????

Hide it in suitcases etc???

We live in Southampton, so its not far to take it but we have no idea of the protocol :o

No need to smuggle or hide in suitcase :)

P&O allow you to take a reasonable amount of alcohol and soft drinks aboard for use in your cabin.

although they dont say what they consider a reasonable amount Ive taken on a couple of bottles of wine, bottle of vodka and 12 cans of pepsi max in hand luggage with no problem

you can also buy more in port and take that back on, never had problems doing this either

    from P&O website
Can I bring items of food or drink on board?

You may bring food and drink, however we do recommend that you carry this on board to avoid any damage in the loading process. There is a fridge in every cabin.
We do allow passengers to bring wine and/or champagne but the amount is at the port authorities discretion.
