We dont drink alcohol and would like to take cans of soft drinks to save money.......do we need to smuggle it in????
Hide it in suitcases etc???
We live in Southampton, so its not far to take it but we have no idea of the protocol
No we took loads we put cans/plastic bottles in cases with towels but just watch the weight of the cases. If you are going from Southampton you can take as much luggage as you like. Saved us a fortune on bottled water and pop. we also bought a soda card which means you can get a coke for £1 instead of £1.50 you buy a card for £20 and it gives you 20 soft drinks and you can use it in bars/restaurants.0 -
afternoon all hugs to all the poorly and poorly kids seems a lot about, it is awful when your kids are unwell..
does anyone know if it is worth trying any eggs today know they wont be very cheap but any savings will help and i have no eggs going to asda in a little bit so would be very gratefull thanks0 -

Far better imo is to purchase a soft drinks package. They usually have alcoholic/soft packages to suit most people and tbh it means that you don't have to think twice about the cost etc leaving you free of the worry that you gonna get lumbered with a big bill. HTH and hope you enjoy the cruise.
You can take definitely take soft drinks onboard and as far as I am aware you can take alcohol onboard at Southampton. P&O don't operate a soft drinks package.0 -

I think someone kindly gave them a hand now, cue tosco staff emptying the fridges.0 -
P&Os official wording:
You may bring food and drink, however we do recommend that you carry this on board to avoid any damage in the loading process. There is a fridge in every cabin.
We do allow passengers to bring wine and/or champagne but the amount is at the port authorities discretion. For more information on bringing alcohol on board please see "Can I bring alcohol on board for consumption?"
In practise I believe you can take on as much soft drink as you want and a fair amount of alcohol. Your own drinks can be drunk in your cabin and elsewhere onboard as long as it isn't somewhere where they sell their own alcohol.0 -
hello, could somebody help me out, I'm a bit confused about the lamb. there's some with the better than half price stickers, some priced 10.99 per kg, no sel tho. If I get the normal price one, won't they just refuse the dtd or try to exchange it? Not tried this before so it'll be my first time having to argue the toss with the sa!
thanks!0 -

There are some Thorntons ones working (T & S) I believe but not as well as they were and the Lindt bunnies/chicks. Buy in pairs - not bought myself so don't know b/c's etc.0
