Wow you are doing really well and 2018 is soooo close. I think you'll end up like me and do everything you can to knock a week off here and there. It's amazing how much money you can save when you take a look at everything you spend! I have brought mine down from 25 years to 4 years. Ok it's not easy but when there is a finish line in sight it really motivates! Sorry about your hip though, it all must be much harder to stay motivated with pain
Mortgage starting balance 2011 ... £170k today £1.5k
Savings: £3k
Aim: 100k by Dec 20210 -

Thanks LauraJo,
It is painful, but I'm riding along on a cushion of analgesics!! :rotfl::rotfl:
I've been told I have the onset of arthritis on top of a vascular necrosis of my right hip. Basically the blood supply doesn't reach the end of my leg bone so it's dying off and crumbling into my hip socket. Result of chemotherapy in 2005.
I'm chipper about it (carping on doesn't help and neither does worry) but it's frustrating when it stops me doing stuff. I can't go fell-walking as I used to.
I'm due a steroid injection in a few weeks to try and reduce the inflammation and give a bit of pain relief so here's hoping. Until then, it's hobble, hobble, hobble!!:rotfl:
Gotta keep positive though. :A
There's people on this forum alone, who have it much worse than me.
