This sounds absolutely great BUT I did notice that if you take the £40 voucher that you automatically join the Virgin Winebank scheme. This has made me a little unsure. Any thoughts anyone? Best Regards, Gavin0

Just found the terms and conditions of the Winebank Scheme...
Wine Bank
The Virgin Wines WineBank is NOT a bank in the same sense that Barclays and NatWest are. It is a scheme where you pay us money to buy wine.
The beauty is that instead of US choosing which cases of wine will be discounted, we give YOU the discount in the form of "WineInterest" every 3 months - so you can choose the wines you want (there are a few very reasonable exceptions where you won't be able to use your WineBank balance - see Clause 12h).
How it works:
We bill your credit card an agreed amount on the 1st of each month.
Every 3 months, if you are still a member of the WineBank, we pay an EXTRA instalment ("WineInterest") equal to your monthly payment, on the 28th of the month. So if you are paying £20 a month, every 3 months you will end up with £60 you've paid in PLUS £20 we've paid in.
Your money is safe. We keep any money you pay into the WineBank scheme in a trust account, separate from Virgin Wines, so you are protected.
We keep the teeny-weeny bit of (real) interest our own bank pays on your deposits. But then we are paying you 33% (!) of what you've paid in every 3 months in "WineInterest", so that's all right then.
You are free to cancel your WineBank membership at any point. We will gladly refund any money you have paid into the WineBank.
Cases bought partly or wholly with your WineBank balance are not eligible for free 13th bottles (normally associated with Wineclubs but also including 13th bottle promotions).
The WineBank is designed so that you can get a special offer on the wines you want to buy, rather than the wines we want to discount. It is not designed for you to get multiple discounts on the same products. Therefore, on certain deeply discounted products, you have the choice of either buying that product with the money you have paid in to your account (but not the WineInterest we have paid in) OR using your entire balance to buy something else.
Customers with a VAA Flying Club number registered on their account will not receive any Miles for orders bought partially or completely using WineBank, and the collection of monthly payments will also not generate miles.
Customers with an Egg credit card who normally receive cashback for placing orders will not be entitled to any cashback for orders bought partially or wholly using WineBank balance, and the collection of monthly payments will also not generate cashback.
We reserve the right to close the WineBank scheme at any time without prior notice. In such circumstances you will be refunded any money you have paid in to the WineBank, and any money Virgin Wines has paid in will be converted into vouchers on your account, which must be used within 6 months of the date the scheme is closed0 -
It's fine, you can cancel any time. But the voucher works on a spend of over £79 (plus £6 delivery) and is for new customers only. So not really worth the bother as the bottle price is still over the good deals tesco has with its code Pinjatas.0

'But the voucher works on a spend of over £79 (plus £6 delivery) and is for new customers only.'
On the back of the voucher it says that the minimumspend after applying the voucher is £39.99 + £5.99 p+p
It states:
If yu don't like the wine, you don't pay.
If you find our wine cheaper elsewhere, we will refund the difference
Delivery is guaranteed. If your wine gets stolen we'll replace it free of charge.
This might clarify things a bit. The laugh is I don't drink so I haven't a clue what is a good wine. I know, I Know you all think I'm sad but ......2p or not 2p? That is the question!0 -
I got a load of vouchers this morning from an Amazon delivery. All have the same codes & passwords, so I suppose anyone can use them.
Value: £40
Code: AMAZON40

Here are the t+c's. It's also for customers who haven't bought before
- You can use your voucher to buy any wines you like from Virgin Wines, provided that you spend at least £39.99 on wine (you need to put wine to the value of £79.99 into your basket, so that you spend £39.99 after deducting your £40.00 voucher).
- By redeeming this voucher, and getting £40.00 of free wine, you are agreeing to try the Virgin WineBank.

I normally try and shop locally for wine but recently the average bottle seems to have increased to six or seven pounds so we are planning on ordering a case online.
Does anyone know any discount codes for Virgin wines or other good online wine merchants?
Thanks0 -
Although there are many similar offers out there I couldn't see one from Cookery Club.
